The new EVE community website went live today, March 25, 2013!

CCP Alice presents the many changes and features in her latest dev blog. The new community website, especially the new adaptive layout, features modern technology and a state-of-the-art landing page with all relevant information available for you.

Could you add the number of Dust players currently connected as well? One universe, one war and all that.

Edit: Oh and I notice the patch notes have been updated to include the last few "stealth" patches. Thank You!

RSS link is broken, i just leads to the devblog mainpage and not to the Devblog itself.

EDIT: NVM, i just read the URL has change.

  • Front page is sexy as hell.
  • Single Sign On is my most desired feature in this arena. Looking forward to all the sites being tied in.

Looks really nice, like the responsive design. Still couple of small issues:
- When I wasn't logged in couldn't find the comments button.
- Just went back after logging in and the posts were all in a completely random order and the date tags wrong on them, the community websites one was third down instead of at the top.

Love the fact I can read the blogs on my iphone without wanting to kill a kitten.

Nice work, I'm especially glad that you made the API key page easier to find.

One request:

I haven't ever commented on a devblog before but upon seeing Alice's request "please remember to report any issues you find in comments thread for this blog" I decided to provide some feedback.

Anyway, I was confused to not find the comments at the end of the article, where they traditionally are placed. Sure, it wasn't hard to scroll around and find the link, but it was not in an intuitive location.

So, Please move the 'Comments' link at the end of each devblog (or append a second Comments link at the end.)

Since devblog (and and some other) links switched to Clean URL and ID's now gone, friendly reminder for web team:
If you will do Clean URL's for materials on russian language, please transliterate links (this also applies to Evelopedia links).
Example:
http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/community-website-update/ - original Clean URL link.
http://community.eveonline.com/news/dev-blogs/обновление-сайта-сообщества/ - what you think we get (fictional link for translated devblog).

Now PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD! Keep it that way. I should NEVER EVER miss an article because you went and made a new RSS feed for it! If I have to keep checking the RSS page to find RSS feeds I am missing then that defeats the ENTIRE purpose of RSS.

If I subscribe to all the RSS feeds (which I do) there should NEVER be an article or post I don't see!

If you're updating the website you really should take a look at the news panel on http://gate.eveonline.com - this is the default page that shows up when you start the in game browser. Right now it's discussing the imminent release of Crucible

You can't be serious about the new API page layout. You are making your users scroll when rendering the page on a 1600x1200 display + browser (firefox, Win7) combination with 6 or more keys / rows? Just imagine all of the scrolling required on the more common 1920 x 1080 or smaller screens...

Please find a way to downsize the masthead so that it uses less vertical screen real estate on pages that are intended to be useful or display content. Alternatively, please find a way so that this newly scalable site design optimally uses the available web browser space.

Very nice, layout is easy to navigate and looks good.

Just one thing- why the EXTREME contrast? #fff on #000 is really hard for the eyes.

All that work for mobile devices and yet CCP still hasnt fixed the email message box formating for mobile devices. How long has EVE Gate been out now? Seriously CCP......fix it.
