The sandbox, the freedom, the camaraderie. Strange people turning up on your facebook account.

For me it was always the people and all the junk we used to get up to.

Fighting arguing and moaning. blaming each other for lost wars. realising that the hot chick in your corp is a man. Accepting that your CEO is only your CEO because he is unemployed and has more time.

That the canadians are not roaming tonight because there is hockey on the television. The English keep making tea during roams. That the Americans think that because they are Americans they are natural Navy Seals.

That this game is a social simulator for internet warriors.

GREAT TIMES


But times change and now my favourite thing about EVE is that it keeps all the geeks of the streets.


Im in the helium burning phase of my Eve career so now im using Eve as an Msm with pretty graphics.
I dont normally troll, but when i do i do it on General Discussion.

My favourite thing about EVE is that it's the best space game around that allows me to goof off pretending to be a spaceship pilot.

IOW, it has the best illusion of being "real" of any space game around - the superb graphics, audio, music, gameplay, all contribute to the illusion.

That might have been the X series, but because EVE has other people, and an ever-present sense of "danger", that makes the virtual world feel more alive and "real" than a single player game ever could.

The favorite thing about EVE:

It's not dumb as 99% of other games. It's a game that I can play without losing the intellectual "edge" that I need in my RL job as a software developer.

There are many other things that I like about EVE, but this one is the reason why I subscribed in the first place and why I kept playing all these years.

The login screens, the music, the space backgrounds (specially beautiful nebulas and stunning combination of system color and star color).

I like how relaxing it is to come from job and log in EVE while Aura is saying "connecting" and that electronic sound.

Then entering a new world of illusions and dreams.

Eve has the best par of the whole game in this forum.

Has someone mentioned, nice coloured msn.

AFK cloaking watch your favourite TV series, film, go out have a drink with friends, pick some hot chick at the bar.

Then you get back and...ho dam those ugly bots are still kissing the pos Lol
