A droneboat would be good too but then you risk losing your drones and having to dock up to restock em.

I was thinking something very similar. The ideal ship would be a covert interdiction nullified shield tanked T3 with lasers. If you can do that with a Legion, do it - but my suggestion was going to be an arty Loki.

Why shield tanked? I was playing around with fits for the loki and proteus out of curiousity and they both are better than the legion at being a legion >_>. The proteus was armor tanked and the loki was shield tanked, both had lasers and did more dps...

Ive been playing around with the Loki to see what set up works, I too am very interested in the scenario you mentioned. So far what I have come up with is:

This has been a goal of mine as well. Is there anything cheaper than the loki/legion/tengu, or would something cheaper not be able to run any sites?

And yes, I definitely have Firefly in mind.

If you aren't going for the nullifier than the arbitrator works wonders. Can't think of anything cheaper that works.

Phantasm is my favorite ship! So I take that as a compliment. If a legion can do the cloaky explorer better I'd love to see some fit suggestions. Otherwise help with this fit (crazy as it is P) would be appreciated.

Any fit I come up with would just be EFT warrioring, I can't even fly amarr frigates but I decided to learn how to use and fit certain amarr shios so I'll try out the phantasm

Also if you trade the expanded for a core probe you should be able to fit two heat sinks

best way to do this if you actually want to clear explo sites is to have a dedicated scout and a combat ship (combat t3 works fine) with a regular t2 cloak.

There are dozens of multi-ship combos that would work great. The challenge is fitting enough on to one hull.

Problem is dropping the nullified requirement and you have several competent T2 cruisers to consider. Drop the cloak and any drone boat will do the job.

It certainly seems like there is room for a medium ship with a fitting bonus for scanning. Codebreaking/Analyzer/Salvaging bonuses and nullifier would be just gravy. Make it T2 to distribute all those bonuses... But that's certainly off-topic now.

Just for fun:
