Setting up a new wh advice channel

i've been meaning to do this for a fair while.

I really want to help the smaller groups in wh space grow, so i've set up a channel "whadvice"

I'm the first to admit i dont know everything, so i've got a few guys to help me. (and more after csm)

This is more aimed at c1 to c4 although if your in c5 or c6 thats no issue.

Some stuff we can help with.

Pos security.
pos defence advice.
how to recruit.
what to do if your invaded.
how to farm stuff.
bm's and how to sort them if your in a alliance.
and much more.

its going to be a invite only channel to start with. So if you do want some advice please mail me and i'll happily add you to the channel and then people can help with any info or advice you may need.

The old channel (wspace colonists) is still "active", although it has fallen somewhat into disuse. There are quite a few veteran wholers who still join it, and the odd newbie too.

I think you should either re-use the existing channel, or you should make an effort to get everyone from that channel to move to your new channel.

It seems silly to have potential help split across two places.

I've been in that channel and tbh some of the advice given in there was terrible, was loads of troilling and it wasnt really that useful from what i can see although i might well try and get people from there that want help in the new channel

Excellent idea. We should be doing everything we can to encourage folks doing w-space living "right" so they stay and further grow the community. Far too many day trippers out there, or just having absolutely no clue how to be successful long-term. This is definitely a step in the right direction.

Yes, if you have to ask yourself the question, just assume we are watching you...

Great idea, man.

Getting started in wormholes can be a bit daunting for the new comers. I know for us, we found out ALOT of things the hard way.

It's to keep the trolling down to a minimum. If the channel is public, you are bound to get the people in there that just want to bullshit and give bad advice.

Wait, so C5 corps and alliances aren't all about wailing on the small guys? N'awww, you make me want to give you fights and everything. <3

That aside, what we ideally need is for a series of Eve University style corps in order to educate newbies about Wormhole living. Make it a less scary place to live by actually passing on some of our hard won experience.
