CCP needs to apologize to it's player base, for that total cluster****.
If they hold a live event and invite everyone, maybe they need to rethink how it's done. Oops

Although, a couple more like this, and they won't have to worry about over-crowding....Lol

yes, ccp need to say sorry for making something that over 1400 people got to participate in, all at once.

Yes, Considering I've been in 0.0 fights that are much larger, expecting them to hold a Live Event, and then screw over 1000's of players, is exactly what I should have expected...Lol

screw over 1000s of players?

no, you were given what, 2 days warning and numerous updates inbetween? they told you there would be a player cap, they told you concord would be off, they told you a bunch of other stuff. the only players that got screwed over were the idiots that thought "i'll roll up 5 mins before a massively hyped and and anticipated event and get to see it".

CCP have nothing to apologise for.

They posted data about the absurdly low cap AFTER Downtime, maybe you should stop drinking the koolaid...

yet the dev blog announcing the event was posted two days before the event.
considering jita has a cap it's not much of a leap of common sense to assume if the event was popular it too would have a cap.

honestly, you can't spend your whole life blaming other people for your own short comings.

Wouldn't mind seeing it. Not sure how I should go about continuing my roleplay without it.

So what you're really saying is - you see this type of event posted by CCP run! don't walk, in the opposite direction because the chance of getting in on it are so slim (1 out of 50 or less) that it isn't worth it. I agree - I won't be back.

And funny enough - I keep hearing Concord was off for the day AND Concord was on for the event. My experience, after preparing days in advance and then trying for hours to get in (was one of lucky few in when the cap was raised from 1K) was that it was off at the beginning of the event and then was turned back on - Concording a lot of people without warning. So what was it CCP?

I can answer that for you.
1st. The cap was raised to at least 2k, when the cap was raised. Because Local spiked to over 2k, once Tidi kicked in hard the cap may have automatically lowered again due to Tidi. But it was stable at 1700 for a while from what I saw.

2. Concord was NEVER OFF! The Devs announced that in the blogs that concord/crimewatch rules were still in effect. Just what happened was that Suspect flags were issued to everyone in local at various points in the fight, and reissued periodically. Once the titan was down (as an approx timing, I don't know exactly when the last refresh actually was, since as a Logistics pilot I was constantly getting a new suspect flag for repping people in LE's, even though they were shooting at suspects), they stopped refreshing the flags.
So people who were smart bombing away to be on every KM occasionaly clipped a non suspect, and got Condokkened just like they should have. And people who had their safeties set to red also sometimes shot people who's suspect flags had expired.
It is possible there were a few lag shots also due to Tidi having weird effects on it being long enough from when they pressed F1 to the shot landing for the flags to have worn off in the mean time, but that's quite unlikely. But Concord was on the whole event under the normal high sec rules.

I think a posted killmail would be A Fun Thing, and I'd like to see it also because I'm pretty much a casual lowsec Australia-TZ guy who doesn't get to shoot at many titans, NPC or no

YMMV.

just another thing to say "look, i was there!". i mean, that was the only reason i lugged a mammoth full of atrons to luminaire. just so i could say "yup, i was there."

The funny part is most people could barely get another ship after losing their first. Lag does that.
