Live Events are scripted and player actions don't really change anything?

That's not news. Cry

Given this "event" has been on the client splash-screen for the last 2 days, and there are at least 2-3 other threads about it, how exactly is yours a spoiler alert?

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

Because it has the words SPOILER ALERT in the title.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

I see.

This is probably more relevant to this thread and more exciting: http://garyc.me/bring/

I expected a James Bond scene. X

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

The Caldari could have replacement Titans. So even if the players manage to kill one, if the Gallente do not get a decisive victory there could still be a Titan in space by Caldari Prime at the end.

So it could be scripted that yes, a Titan will crash. No, that does not mean the Gallente are destined to reclaim the planet or the space near the planet.

well wtf ccp, this is supposed to be a live event not a scripted event.

Oh well, i'll probably go loot instead of fight in it :\

That's a Templar, an Amarr fighter used by carriers.

It is a live event. That map is one of several possible outcomes that they accidentally put in instead of the correct map.
Everyone is jumping to assumptions (in classic Eve fashion).
It's probably the most likely outcome if players don't intervene at all. But Players can change the outcome.

Well, ever since The Big Blue Doughnut formed, content has had to come from empire space. If you created some content yourself, perhaps you could have a say in how it is delivered to the public for consumption. You have the ability to do practically anything you want in this game, yet you choose stagnation and are genuinely baffled when the crowd grows tired and moves on. Straight

Marlona is bang on the money.

Dave, what do you present that missed all of our eyes (and CCPs or they would have put it in the news for all to see)?

There are good ships,

And wood ships,

And ships that sail the sea

But the best ships are Spaceships

I'll bet 100 isk that CCP will have someone piloting the titan on the Eve side.

I'd also bet another 100 that they've got a couple different scripts ready to go depending on the outcome of the battles.

So yeah, live events are scripted.

I don't judge people by their race, religion, color, size, age, gender, or ethnicity. I judge them by their grammar, spelling, syntax, punctuation, clarity of expression, and logical consistency.
