So like many of you running laptops my laptop comes with the onboard intel graphics card and an nvidia graphics card. It used to be that when i ran eve i could choose which graphics card i wanted but now it seems eve is only recognizing my onboard graphics card. My drivers are up to date and my settings in nvidia control panel say eve is supposed to use the nvidia card. I would also note that eve is still running just as well as when it did display both cards. Could it be that eve is using the nvidia card and just not telling me?

You can click on the Settings above the Username field at the login screen and check.

Assuming you get any video at all.

Simple solution is to just disable Intel crap. Power consumption between Intel and nVidia on [almost] standby is negligible, and honestly, how often you use your NB out of reach of the power outlet?

I run a dual card system, desktop, and run two monitors. I also run two Eve Accounts.

Upon log-in, there is a settings button at the bottom of the screen just above the username/password area.

I click that, go to the graphics tab, and can choose which card runs that implementation of Eve.

They are both the same card type, but Eve identifies them as (card name) 1 and (card name) 2.

This enables me to run each account on a different card and to run without frame rate or detail issues.

Hope this helps.

So I am curious if a solution was ever found for this, because i have this issue as well.

More specific about my system. I am running the Alienware M17x with the Nvidia GTX 560M and the onboard intel card that was installed with the system. When I log into the game itself, I can go to the settings but it is as if the client does not recognize the Nvidia card at all. I am also running Windows 7 64-bit and have tried manually forcing it to run it with this specific card with the option to run with graphics processor on right-click.

Any ideas on this one that don't involve me going to BIOS and disabling the on board card? I really don't want to have to do that.

Also pertinent information may be that I have run other game clients (Wow and Rift) and they recognize the other card just fine (at least they claim to).
