Wrong.

You obviously don't read me in OOPE.

You're just poasting to be poasting something.

I think he meant me.

I don't get the overly geeky workarounds when the options are right there in the Launcher.

But....whatever.

Simplicity and because they work. It completely avoids the launcher and any problems that it may cause. Under Linux has it got additional problems.

People still run Linux ? Lol

I kid.

I haven't used Linux since highschool, 2001.

I remember that making it accept a CD was more work than changing a tire on a car.

/mount snippity snip snip and so on.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

I thought Linux was just an exit mode for EMACS.

he didn't say who is "you".

Trust me, it was directed at me.

He lavishes me with such attention I'm thinking he wants a date.

EDIT: and if not, that's BAD POASTING and idiocy to not specify.

There honestly isn't really that much more to say, if anything.

It's not there for another "Are you sure?" message, it's there so that the devs can implement patches easier and you can receive them easier. It's also a place for them to advertise changes or other stuff. You don't have to close it after you start the client you know, it uses almost no resources. If you can't play Eve because the launcher is running in the background, then I have news for you... You need a new computer.

Of all the bloody things you could whine about. This is so stupid even an implied facepalm is more than is strictly necessary.

Edit:

Sorry, didn't bother to read and therefore didn't see this;

Kind of unfair to come with a straight answer and all. Here we were due for 5 pages of "go play WoW if launching Eve is too much work for you"

I just don't see why I should have to launch the launcher and then "click" Play to open the game itself. And then manually close the launcher on top of that.

It wasn't long ago when you just launched the game and that was it.

What is this? 2008? Every MMO since like 2010 has a launcher - at least all the MMO's that I play(ed).

Mech Warrior Online
