Wormhole Gorilla Tactics?

First off, it's guerrilla, I know that, just figured I would get some people to click on the thread who wouldn't otherwise.

So I took a small fleet (prober, backup prober, dread, carrier) into WH space, looking for a home to try out all this WH space I've heard so much about. The plan was to get a tower set up in a C5, scan some friends in, and then go from there.

Along the way, I ran into a small group of farmers. There's about 7-8 of them, from what I can tell. They decided to bubble the hole I was trying to get through, and started ****-talking me about how I was trapped in with them and they'd let me leave for 2b isk.

Naturally, I took offense to these threats, so I decided to stick around and see what I can do. They have two archons and a moros (presumably they want to run cap escalations), so what I've been doing is using the dread and carrier to escalate all the combat sites in their hole. I believe that if they then warp their dread and first carrier in, the site should add the second wave of escalation battleships, meaning they have 28 sleeper BSes to deal with, which seems to have deterred them.

Are there any other shenanigans I could get up to? I have a talos for PVP, but they only leave the tower in cloaky ships to scan for exits when I'm on, and seem to have stopped logging in. I was thinking of RFing their tower, but a med Domination tower would take a while to chew through with what I have available, and I would run the risk of getting caught by someone rolling their static looking for PVP.

You should wait with the escalations.
Scout until they start the escalation then logg in the dread and capital far out of reach of dscan.
Wait till they start an escalation, then when they are in for about 30 seconds, escalate the next waves and see capitals go pop.

EDIT: Also i forgot:

If you know exactly how many caps and what kind of caps they have, try to sneak in a fleet that can actually take those down, if they only have 2 dreads and 2 carriers you could possible do this with you carrier, dread and a couple of bhaals and t3s. then start to reinforce their tower, or put up your tower when no one is on. have the fleet logged off but on comms, ready to strike. If they commit, demolish them and live in your new home with pride.

Scan an entry for your friends during hostiles downtime, get 2nd dread inside, burn their system Pirate

A medium tower in a C5....hmm, sounds like running an expedition, purely farming the c5. Without having more information I can't tell. But, if that's the case they might be able to call in more support. I can't see anyone in their right mind setting up a medium tower, faction or not, in a c5 as a permanent base of operation.

If they're setup for the long haul then maybe they're not that smart and you'd have a good chance of burning them down. If they're not that smart it means they also don't have smart friends so, you're chances could be fairly good.

My suggestion, call in friends, use your carrier for logi and set a trap for their caps.

If you've escalated their sites, you may have done yourself a disservice.

Don't ban me, bro!

Oh also, reinforce all their POCOs if they have them. Should not take too long with a dread and could lure them out to rep them back up with a carrier if they think its safe.

They won't have 28 sleepers to deal with - but you will have messed up their site running - the 8x waves only spawn if the original capital that spawned the 6x wave is on grid when the 2nd capital of that type turns up. I've not tried to see if any 2 of the same type of capital on grid will still spawn the 8x wave even if one of them isn't the same pilot as who spawned the 6x wave.

Does mean they are also facing more sleepers than they normall expect tho initially (if they go in one capital at a time) - tho as someone mentioned above with some careful scouting to make sure they don't have a bubble/tackle escalating when they are actually in site and not expecting it works better.

Throw a banana through the wormhole and see how many gorillas jump through after it.

P.S Make sure the Gorillas have space suits. You don't want the Eve equivalent of PETA to frown in your direction.

P.p.s Alternatively load them onto your medium artillery and see what the damage spread is like.

I would set up a POS and bring in another dread and start rolling.

You lucked out it's a medium POS, I would take advantage of that.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say kinetic.

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Well there's the small amount of thermal from the heated space suit, and explosive from the decompression as the gorilla thwacks into the hull.

Thanks for the info.

Just some things to note: my original plan was to catch them in the site and escalate by warping in the dread/carrier at like 300kmbut ~timezones~ threw that off until I can afford to stay up until 3am hunting them. I've toyed with the idea of bringing friends in, but as I've said, they pretty much decided to vanish after I started messing with them, and I dont want to trap my friends in a WH for days waiting for them to show up. As it currently stands, I'm thinking of taking a break from escalating their sites and letting them get back into a grinding mindset, then setting an ambush up.

Oh, and they were very open in that they didnt care about PVP, just making isk to farm out to their nullsec alts

Contact me ingame.

Sky Fighters always interested in farming nullseccers in WH Space.

My advice - anchor your tower and seige their medium tower - who knows, they're might be a couple of caps in it for you when the tower goes down Evil

set up warpins 300km away from all their sites with a covops, wait till they run sites, warp both your caps to the warpin.
then soak in their glorious tears.

Last I checked you didn't need to warp a cap into the site to escalate you can always hit warp and cancel...
