BLUF: disabling Crossfire while playing EVE solves problems...

A while back i posted about this issue. Unfortunately I can not find my original post and don't want to swim through all the posts to find it.

Background: every time there was an in game explosion in space my screen would flicker until i alt+tab'd out of the game (or clicked somewhere in my other monitor causing the game to minimize) before it would stop flickering. I was also one of the many folks that had random eve freezes that would cause me to have to restart my computer...

Since then i've disabled "crossfire" while playing eve and have not had either issue (and honestly there is no noticeable performance difference without crossfire)

I'm posting this for anyone out there that may be having the same issue. If you're crossfiring AMD video cards try just using one and see what happens. I will post my system attributes FYI:

CPU: AMD 3.3ghz FX-6100 hexacore
Memory: 8 GB Corsair 1866 Mhz
GPU: AMD Radeon HD 6670
OS Windows 7 64 bit
Western Digital 1 TB HDD
