I'll report it as a bug I guess, I wanted to know if anyone has seen anything like this happen before.

* NPC ships within 30 km, yet all attempts to launch ANY drones reports "beyond 65 km engage limit"
* I move towards a group of ships to see it that changes, I drop sentry drones and they appear, in space, 20 km away, probably from where I "was" before I chased those ships.
* One last BS 100km away, went to like 30km away, dropped sentries, and they appear 7 km away from me, this time they start shooting.

I don't appear to have connection issues, and I am chatting with people and all seems normal aside from this distance issue. I took a screenshot of distance vs the "not in range message" to post to CCP later.

wtf?

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

It's called desynch. You client thinks your ship is one place and the server disagrees. While the server is always right, the client sometimes throws a petulant fit.

Docking up and restarting the client helps usually.

, this thread wouldn't belong in it.

I agree that this sounds more like desync than anything else

It was my opinion that it might NOT be a bug, but some connect problem that others had seen, hence asking in here.

"Mission and Complexes" would be for mission specific stuff, not something unusual. As this is my first "desync" event, I wanted feedback, and got some.

Ok, so I'll put it down to comms between me and the server, and I might stop playing for tonight and get some sleep (it;s 4am here anyway) , don't want to risk a ship if it continues.

Thanks again.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.

I didnt know it was a "desync", so I wasnt sure what to search for, sorry. I thought it was just one ship at first. It was like one ship could not be targeted. I added more to the message when I realized other stuff was happening.

I apparently have no idea what I'm doing.
