Suggestion: Promoting Solo/Small gang

Hi all,

10-20+ man camp/gank fleets, looking for solo pilots suck!
Although that's one way to spend your time, I just wonder if solo and small gang can be promoted through a points system.
As well as racking up Killmails, pilots would be awarded points based on the target's ship class, isk value AND the number of parties involved.
Simply put, you would earn more points the less pilots involved in a single gank, even more points if the target ship is of a higher class etc etc.

That is all.

And these points system would fit in what kind of greater logic, so it makes actually sense ?

EvE isn't an arcade game ...

Perhaps I didn't articulate myself;
Purely killboard related.
MANY people PvP for the killmails - one of the very reasons I PvP almost exclusively.

Considering if you PvP'd only in this game, you would be running at a loss, except for a small minority.
The drops from your kills, may randomly drop nice loot, they may not.

So, PvP'ing for the profit (for most anyway) is not viable, that only leaves the thrill of the kill and the juicy killmails.
People like to be the corp/alliance top killer - I would just add a new dimension to that.

What stops you from recording this yourself?

Arbitrary point system is arbitrary.

An official algorithm, would allow all KillBoard implementations to be uniform.

I honestly didn't think this was that difficult to comprehend...
Who knows, maybe it's just me.

I use battleclinic to count my pods for me.
Eve-kill is crap in my eyes.
battleclinic even has a nice ranking system and i like watching me rise in rank,
laughing my ass off, considering how stupidly easy it is to get to the top.

Killboards are crap. Uniform killboards would be even crappier.
There is no way somebody could make a killboard that's not somehow cheatable.

This suggestion is ridiculous. EVE does not need any small gang PVP.

CCP should be promoting blobs. They should start by raising the fleet limit to 1000 and rewarding groups of players based on how closely timed their pressing of F1 is. They should also make cynos invisible to ship scanners. If CCP adds a points system they should give the most points to the biggest fleet size, because it's only fair that the group with the least restrictive recruitment policies should win.

To say killboards are crap and cheatable is a completely different issue, your argument has no weight - therefore pointless.

Remove KMs in general and you might gain some more ~goodfights. Until people stop worrying so much about their Eff. people will continue to rely on numbers.

Big gangs are at no more of an advantage against solo players then a small gang, or one good player.

At least, if that solo player knows what they're doing anyway. Small gang/ solo PvP doesn't need buffing, it just needs better explaining to all the people who think it doesn't work. There is a difference between it not working and just not knowing how to do it.
