My goal in this ship: I want to make it as difficult and as costly as possible for anyone ganking me. Gank resistance is definitely a good thing to be aware of, but I think you may be overestimating the threat a bit. If you use that as your primary criterion for choosing a ship, you'll end up flying big boring bricks that take forever to finish missions. A couple of things more important than ship choice:

  • Fitting - As has been mentioned a couple of times already, gankers-for-profit will only be interested if you have expensive modules to drop. Keep the deadspace/faction modules to a minimum and you won't be a very attractive target. (Hint: There are plenty of perfectly viable mission fits that use nothing better than T2)
  • Tank Profile - The conventional wisdom in missions is to fit mission-specific resistance modules to improve your tank. That's good advice for the missions themselves, but leaves you with resistance holes that smart gankers can exploit. Omni-tank as much as possible, and save the mission-specific tank for the tougher missions.
  • Location - Get a few jumps away from the big trade/mission hubs, and you'll get harassed far less.

I don't know how the recent(ish) changes to Crimewatch have changed the scene, but a bigger threat than suicide gankers used to be ninja looters, who would come into your mission, steal your loot, and hope that you panic and fire at them when they turn red so that they could come back in a PvP ship and take you down without CONCORD intervention. Thankfully their success is entirely within your control.

My recommendation would be to fly what looks like fun, fit it reasonably, find a quiet system to mission in, and worry about more interesting things than gankers.

(But if you still insist on flying something with max difficulty to gank, I hear passive-tanked Rattlesnakes are quite tough.)

I do appreciate all the advice i will take it all into consideration.

But i feel like i've worded what i want a bit wrong so i guess i should just tell my exact situation.

I have a rule in which i always abide by money wise. Be it in a game or IRL. Which my friend tells me oddly enough is a golden rule in Eve. Which i find very smart. That rule i abide by is never have anything i cannot afford to replace. Be it a car a computer an item in game or whatever. In this case it would be a ship in Eve.

Because of the lovely system Eve has that allows a player to buy Plex and then sell it on the market for in game money. In game money will not be an issue for me. Be it 100m or 100b. Because of this it does not matter to me the price of a ship.

What im aiming for in this is to find a ship that i can aim for in the future that basically would be the "hardest" ship to kill in High sec because of its massive tank ability.

My goal in this ship: I want to make it as difficult and as costly as possible for anyone ganking me. I want a ship that would be so hard to take down that you would need ships worth atleast as much or more than the ship im piloting to bring it down and then several people on top of that just to be able to bring it down before concord kills them.

I am currently training several alts in pretty much the same skills. All of them on multiple accounts. So im not worried about someone looting my ship when its poped. For them to do that they are gonna have to be closer to that ship than my alts are and i plan on keeping all my ships fairly close at all times.

What i want is something so hard to take down that the fact that its so hard to take down and the fact that its not alone will deter most gankers.

While i must say the idea of being killed and having my stuff stolen from me that i worked hard for isnt appealing. The idea of

Officer fit Machariel

Let me be the first to actually try and answer your question.

Being your gallente, i will point you at a gallente ship.
Being you said Drones, I will point you at a drone boat
Being you said not worth blowing up, and that you said your new to the game, i will assume you don't have many skill points for a battleship.
Being you mentioned plex's, i'll again advise something under a battleship untill you are earning enough money to buy a battleship from your profits.

Fly a Myrmidon, It's cheap enough people won't be fussed with trying to kill you, chances are a myrm will never be carrying enough expencive fittings to be worth ganking.

Move on to a dominix when you can
Buy a navy issue if you earn enough, otherwise train for a rattlesnake, because they are the sex at missions.

If you wait till a little later i will try and post you a myrn fitting.

Sory to hijack the thread, but my question is rather minor for creating new. Right now, being newbie and all, i decided for drake + missiles for my pve goals. But after reading forum around i came to knowledge that, in pvp, missiles and shield tanks are used rarely and even more, dare i join some corp in the future, i will be forced to train into projectiles/armor tanking, which is exact opposite skills. So, taking long term into account should i force myself to go that way right now, or is there some future for my skills in pvp fleets?

This thread needs more people giving advice that is comensurate with the OP's thread.

Deadspace fit Machs and Tengus are what the OP needs. Officer fit carriers for when he wants to dabble in L5's on quiet nights.

Oh, and missiles are a total waste of SP. Nobody uses DRAEKs or Tengus for PVP.

Nerfing High-sec is never the answer. It is the question. The answer is 'YES'.
