And I love it. If you would have met me in another game maybe 3-4 years ago I would have been the most helpful player you could want. I would give you starter money, help you get gear or anything like that. Even in games where you were able to kill and take the item of another player if you tired a little trickery. But then I found EVE. I don't know when it happened or why it was this game but I went dark.

Now, after 2 years of playing this game, I would not hesitate to take every thing you have, without a second thought given the chance. Maybe it was the fact that you can with out threat of being banned or that people just make it so easy. I've joined corps just to ruin them, I've scammed people out of their ships and money, I even start taking candy from babies. And you know what? It is ******* freeing as hell. Everyone needs to just go out and ruin someones day. Hell ruin my day for all I care, it's funny as ****. I found the EVE nirvana of scamming, killing and being scammed and killed.

And to give this thread some point and possible longevity, lets all reflect on what horrible things we have done at the expence of others, and the good times we had doing it. And i;m not just talking being a pirate here either, the people that ruin markets and over charge by 1000% are just as bad as the pirates.

Because of eve I told my mother once "That is a terrible idea." out of habbit for what I tell people on the forums.

Looking to talk on VOIP with other EVE players? Are you new and need help with EVE (welfare) or looking for advice? Looking for adversarial debate with angry people?

Because of EVE, my wife thinks I'm cheating on her with a monotone woman with a fetish for docking permits.

I got banned from WoW forums for a post that by EVE standards was very helpful and informative.

Does that make me evil or good?

Ive been playing this game for about 6 years now and it hasnt affected my morals one bit.

Maybe you were *evil* all along, or maybe only the weak fall to the dark lures of the game.

All in all, Heathen pirate scum, Amarr Victor etc..etc..etc...

BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty.

Heh, even though it's out of character for me, I think I'll rain on this parade. Just a little bit since the OP basically challenged players to ruin his day..

First of all, don't break your arm trying to pat yourself on the back there noobie.

It may seem like you've done a lot for a character created on 2011.09.14 @ 12:28 Eve Time. According to my calculations, you're only 1 1/2 years old, not over 2 years old. When or if you ever do manage to take down a major power-block Alliance single handedly, then that's something to post and boast about. Definitely not a couple of little escapades you've done to newby's.

I've met a lot of very cool helpful people in this game over the years who are still very cool and helpful. I guess it all depends on which side of the tracks you're from.

Anyway, Eve doesn't turn people evil. People turn other people evil. It's very easy to turn weak, feeble minded people into blind fanatics yelling "Jihad".

That sh*t is so commonplace it's old as this game. Obviously you're fixated on just one side of the coin, a small section of the whole picture, just another brick in the wall, etc.

What you should be asking for is stories of Sweet Revenge enacted by those who were screwed over.

Then you'll really see Evil.

Hasn't even been a year for me but i can agree to alot of the OP. Though i am pretty sure i can say 100% that i'm not evil. Can't steal in real life and in here i tried to rob a corp and couldn't do it. biomassed the character the next day in fact. Though unlike other games this one has actually affected how i work in real life.. Scary thought that a game involving money makes me more conservative and realistic about real life cash. It's also made me bring my ambition back and i'm looking into a real estate license because of it.

It's a scary thought that the idea that gaming brings out the good/bad in a person can actually happen in EVE. No other games have done this from my perspective.

I'll say this for a statement: EVE doesn't change who you truly are. It shows you the true you to an extent. Of course outliers exist. Such as i know this is a game so stealing isk can happen with no repurcussions to me so i could easily manipulate and scam here. Something i would never do in real life. Though the fact i didn't seems strange to me. Hell i actually felt... bad. I was 1 step away from just grabbing 300mil from a new corp and walking and i hesitated. The social extent EVE brings to the table could in a possible sense do this much more easily than other games.

Disclaimer: I always dig deeper than the surface with things such as this. Just a habit Cool

Pfffft. If you sub this game, you're evil from the get go. Let's see, 14.99 for a month's sub, or 14.99 to help feed those men, woman and kids at the local shelter/food bank/charity school/etc.. Play with imaginary spaceships, assembly lines, and internet "friends" for a hundred hours a month or volunteer to improve your community, uplift your local schools, et al. "Evil prospers when good men fail to act" pretty much covers anyone who plays an MMO.

So yes, playing Eve makes you Evil, however so does playing WoW, and WoW does Evil better.

Actually, EVE thought me how to trust people.

Not to trust everyone, nor even to trust some with everything, but rather to be very specific with what to trust who on.
