I would be OK with this idea if the local did not exist. The information available in local is beyond what should be "known" about a pilot when they enter a system.

A klaxxon-style alarm when any ship enters the local system or local grid would be completely fair (and realistic), just as soon as we remove local.

Crime, it is not a "career", it is a lifestyle.
