one thing i cant understand is this: why change so much about the orca, or add a "T2 Orca", when we already got the Rorqual in the game wich already serves as a pretty good low sec logistics platform ?
only thing it lacks of what has been suggested here, (from what i can see) is the cloak...

or am i missing something here ?

No T2 Orca in my original post.

The Orca requires many skills that are useless for combat focused pilots, costs a lot, doesn't allow T3 subsystem refitting, doesn't allow the storage of adequate volumes of supplies, costs A LOT, can contain only few ships, and finally can be reconfigured in order to cover combat roles. I'm not kidding, support Orcas are fearsome.

There are a lot of other drawbacks, but the main ones are the skill intensiveness of the Orca and its high cost.

Besides, i'd rather have a real logistic ship, not a mining support ship reconverted to a logistic role.

the rorqual is a beast that takes a mammoth amount of effort to build and only fits through larger WH's.

Rorqual also can only carry 'industrial' ships. So thast out of the window really.

The Orca is having its training requirements slashed. It will require ORE Industrial 3 instead of mining barge 5.
