ArrowWho am I?

My name is Sinqlaison, supercapital (pack) producer, see my sales thread

ArrowPrice

1 billion ISK for the the best idea to be paid out in Oct-31. The runner up idea earns 500 mln ISK, and #3 250mln ISK. I will be the judge of who the winners are and publish that in this thread. In case you have some concerns whether I will pay up, see my thread and references in that thread (and the old one going back 3-4 years)

ArrowBackground & context

For my current business I employ some 2.8 trillion ISK in terms of titan BPOs/BPCs, capital construction BPOs/BPCs, cash, POS & fuel, capital construction components, etc etc. I have just expanded the business with an investment of 200 bln ISK to increase my capacity to produce titan BPC packs, in a big bet on the upcoming supercap nerf, assuming it will favor titans over supercarriers and create large demand.

However, I expect to have another 300 bln ISK at hand in 3 months and need plans to invest that.

What I believe in is investment opportunities that provide a sustainable advantage. Requiring massive capital is a good basis for providing sustainable advantage as there are limited people/corporations/alliances in Eve who can muster 100's of billions to invest. I view it like Shell or Exxon who can sink 13 bln dollar in a new LNG operations, they will be able to reap a nice rent thereafter - if they manage the political risks well. Am looking for similar ideas in Eve as well.

My constraint is time. As I am 1 person, not a big alliance, any idea must be executable with limited effort. Capital is no issue, time is.

ArrowYour idea

If you are interested to participate in the contest - post your idea here, or post a short note and write me in game. Your post here should then just say 'Idea on XYZ - sent you mail in game". That way you signify you participate, without spilling all the beans.

ArrowIdea description

In your post here, or your mail in game, please describe the nature of the business, the way it creates value, what investment is needed and wy you think it will create sustainable advantage

ArrowFun ideas

Obviously we expect a few ideas like "donate it to me and I will pay you the double amount in 6 months" and the like. They are welcome too, though not likely to win a price Lol

+++

May the best idea(s) win !!

Outposts. When they become destructible their demand will go up. Significantly.
They can be built in Highsec so you might even consider building them though i guess as a one man show you do not want to get into manufacturing.

Though 300B might be a bit much for a venture as such.

Something else would be T2 lease.

Buy up lots of T2 BPO's and rent out the manufacturing rights. Income without work YAY.

Make a new lottery website. It can be pretty much 100% automated except you will need to contract over prizes once a day or so.

buy every plex ever...sell every plex ever for price+15% given that you have 300 billion isk that's somewhere in the range of 900million plex you could buy...that's a BOAT LOAD, and you'd still have plenty of money left over to run the T2 renting operation suggested earlier. People need plex and with 300billion isk you could easily corner the market long enough to make people panic...just a thought

There are a couple of things I would do if I had that amount kind of isk:

  1. Dreads are being buffed and as such a greater demand may arise. Copy, rent out manufacturing rights or even manufacture.

  2. Sov structures, atm a fair few alliances that used be in 0.0, smaller ones mind you, are staying in high sec due to unreliable conditions in null atm, when they go back they will need infrastructure to build up systems and as such sov holding and upgrading structures will be needed.

  3. Changes to salvage, there are talks about the possibility for melting t1 salvage into t2 salvage and vice versa, this for making t2 rigs more affordable, it would not be totally unthinkable that some of the now more or less useless salvage would increase in value significantly...

  4. When you want to leverage great amounts of isk time will be your bottleneck, but if you had others to make use of the isk for you there is practically no limit to the amount of isk you can leverage. Options here would be run a corp/alliance, lend out money (with collateral) or own 0.0 space. Resonably priced space is in demand at the moment, if you somehow were able to buy/force or in other ways gain space in 0.0 then renting it out to an alliance or even a group of alliance will net you a fair income.

Find some trustworthy friends and loan money to them. You may be able to make 30%-50% growth on 100bil in a month for yourself but without time to do it. Letting someone else do it for you at 10% growth is still 10bil.

Now.. of to find trustworthy people... in Eve....

Everytime you buy something that says "made in china" you are helping the rising unemployment in your own country unless you are from china, Buy locally produced goods and help create more jobs.

Hi friends, the tally until now is

#1 "1 billion ISK price" - Transport Sheep with the idea of Outposts & t2 lease
#2 "500 million ISK price" - Yuko Ostus with the ideas on dreads & salvage
#3 "250 mln ISK price"- no candidate yet

Keep them flowing guys! If your idea is better you can climb to #1 / 2 / 3 position... Oct-31 is the end date for the contest.

When Dust514 comes out, the new influx of eager players are going to need a massive supply of dropships, weapons and vehicles. When it does come out, you can buy a shitload of dropship and planetary vehicle BPOs and either manufacture them yourself or make copies and sell them. In the first few weeks of Dust, there will be a HUGE demand for these items, and that's when you make a killing.

Also, looking at your sales thread, I noticed that you don't produce any cap ships, only sups. With the new cap balancing, the regular caps will see more demand. You can start producing them.

Invest in datacores related to t2 rig invention. When the new changes come in there will be a huge increase in demand as many t2 inventors will be turning to them as demand spikes from the lower prices. I would do this myself but my isk is tied up elsewhere.

For profit:
1. long-term id say start a t2 bpo collection.
2. market manipulation. Kinda like the goons are doing now, pick a common item and force the price to double overnight.
3. pick a large nullsec tradehub. get an alt into whoever controls that. Control the markets for the common pvp mods and ships. You can buyout orders below yours and maintain at least a 50% profit margin on all your mods. If you persist with this, eventually others will stop competing and you will have to manage orders less.

For fun:
1. Sponsor the next hulkaggeden.
2. acquire an alliance tourney ship and start flying around highsec and see how many people get concorded while trying to kill you.
3. support the goons in killing off all ice miners... the results are quite funny atm. :D
4. give it to me! :P

Just to add one more :)

Buy a bunch of titan BPO's and copy them. Its slow but easy money.
10B every 3 months makes the return on invenstment lower than most t2 bpo's
Problem is getting them researched which will be a dead period.

That is if you do not already have titan BPO's. Wich would fit in the line of business you already have.

300b isk, however it seems the majority of your time is taken up by capital production, so you're probably looking for something with little oversight and effort to focus on it.

In the following months we're going to see the need arise in more and more battleships, battlecruisers, and HACs due to the need to field support fleets for ones capitals.

This means that should you take the initiative you could capitalize on this by starting battleship production now while mineral markets are not under extra stress from meeting the rising demand. Have a nice stockpile of popular battleships (geddons, pests, abaddons) and wait for demand and price to rise, then cash out :)

I would stop being a measly scrote by offering 0.3% of investment for good investment ideas. You probably do have the 300b, but alas, you like letting everyone know too.
