What's up for grabs? A pot starting at 800 mil isk for starters, with the winners taking home two rigged Rooks with half of the pot. If our goal of 18 players is reached, the top prize will gain a Zealot (unrigged) on top of the previous prize pool!

For now, the prize pool is as follows:
first: x2 Rooks, 400 mil isk.
second: 200 mil isk.
third: 100 mil isk.
forth: 50 mil isk.
Most unique team set-up: +25 mil isk.
Most unique ship set up: +25 mil isk.

Last two winners are chosen by the DJ, who can be influenced by public opinion

What's the tourney? A frigate 2v2, Red Rover style where teams of 3-5 assemble up to duke it out! This does mean that each team has more than 2 participants (unless only six show up, sigh). However, if the 18 player goal is met, we'll bump it up to 3v3s for more fun!

Fighting is simple; the last team standing wins! On a per-battle basis, the team with at least one pilot still flying is the victor. Members of the winning team may reship and/or repair, though each ship is a one-shot deal (so a guy who trades his incursis for a griffin can't fly the incursis again). Losers are knocked out of the battle entirely. Warping away from the fight is a forfeit.

!!!Rules of Engagement!!!
participating players will use the dueling mechanic against each-other. Of a 2v2 consisting of player A and B vs X and Y, Player A duels X and Y, B does likewise. Player X duels A and B, and Y likewise.

Once all are ready to fight, they make sure they are 38-42km from each-other and about 20km from the DJ. After then, it's a DJ-countdown to the fight proper!

Penalties may be handed out to the losers as follows;
-prizes will be withheld until after the final; encourages pilots to play nice and watch.
-external aid will be dealt with accordingly.
-the DJ is the boss

Should a team consist of an odd number of players, the remaining teams may agree on what pilot(s) that was/were previously knocked out can return. The DJ has final approval on this matter, or can simply go over everyone's head and choose for us all. Her call.

M'kay, how do I sign up (and what can I fly)? Evemail me (tankus2) at least two frigate fits.

First thing is that the frigate fits are tech one ONLY. No meta modules, no faction/deadspace/officer/t2/named/whateverelseImaybemissing. Implants and boosters are fine. Also standard ammunition, so the only way you can truly triumph over your foes is to work together and play against their weaknesses.

Second thing is to make sure you have spank over tank, no one wants to watch two guys smack each-other with 75mm rails for pennies in damage while their tank can absorb dollars. I will let you guys know as soon as I can if a fit is too tanky so we can get a nice, powerful fit that sticks to your playstyle while still giving the opposition a chance at killing you.

Third, each team gets access to every non-exploration, non-faction t1 frigate, though only one of each. On a per-pilot basis, each pilot can receive up to three frigates. This means that each team will get one slasher, one incursis, one bantam, etc. Once that ship is gone, there is no replacing THAT SHIP, though the pilot (provided his team won) can return in a back-up ship. Teams may also share replacement frigates, just in case.

Fourth, ewar and RR are perfectly fine, as long as they are on the 2-3 ships involved and are used against the opposing 2-3 ships.

The final note: Registration has already begun, and will continue until March twenty-third (23), 23:55 eve time. After then, all the players should make their way to the target system, or be prepared to. Once the show starts we will begin RIGHT THEN, NO EXCEPTIONS. There is only two hours of air time, and I'd rather it be done early than to go over.

So... Where is this at? link up the system 'Tekaima' and you are good to go. This is CONCORD space, so unless you are on bad terms with them you can go regardless of your -10 status with a faction. Fighting starts at 18:00 eve time on the 24th of March.

What about betting? Good question. I'd ask for the tourney players to not bet themselves (so they can focus), and I will NOT be handling any betting. Any isk donation to me for whatever reason other than for registration will just be added into the pot.

Any further questions should be sent here in this forum, though I'll accept Evemails.

Later dolts!

Do please sign up. If anything, you get free ships!
