Uakti are the kings of alternative handmade instruments. Glass marimba, PVC pipe percussion thing, a tunable flowing water instrument, to name a few. The tones are amazing. If I play a CD for friends, most think it's digital/synth music. But these guys are top-rate musicians and composers, they could probably make a tin can and a spoon sound good.
