= EVE Skilltracker BETA [LINK]
The EVE Skilltracker is an web based tool for the game EVE Online, that allows you to see your ability to fly ships and manage fittings.

This tool in general is designed to be a guide with skilling for new and inexperienced pilots. EVE online is so incredibly complex that we want to help you here with finding the adequate Skills for your actual ship.

This website is not oriented to some weird fitting variations or any FOTM PvP-fleetfitting. We designed the badges considering the given attributes and bonuses of the specific ships.

While EFT and EVEMon only show what skills are required as a minimum to be able to fly the ships or use the fittings, this website goes a step further and lists the skills you need stepwise to fly a ship from basic over medium to expert.

Badges definition:
  • Basic:
  • You are able to fly the ship with minimal requirements in ship and fitting skills to move through empire. Not more.
  • Medium:
  • You can fly and fit the ship quite good, with acceptable skills but only for fleet operations. Not alone.
  • Expert:
  • You have all the skills needed to use and fit the ship at its optimum with T2 modules. Ready for action.

But this doesn’t mean other tools like EFT and EVEMon will be superfluous. Quite the contrary, both tools still remain important while using this website, they have their focus on specific scopes and so their individual use for you.

To be able to use the EVE Skilltracker, you simply have to sign up on this website, using your API key. On the Badges site you will see quickly how it is working. Everything more is self-explanatory.

In development:
The Skilltracker is not only interesting for younger pilots but also for whole corporations or even alliances. It is possible to create CEO, FC or Recruiter accounts, from which you will have access to your members or check out others' APIs. This will give you a quick overview on how good which member can fly what ship. You will also be able to create internal badges for corp/alliance relevant FOTM ships and fittings and quickly see how many pilots meet the criterias for those. This makes the Skilltracker a valuable tool for the whole EVE community.

Fly safe,
Barkkor - EVE Skilltracker development team.

The usermanagement is ready now. Very nice admin tool für reset user password or delete user accounts.

Next step: banner rotation

After that we will work hard on the recruitment feature. So a defined recruiter can enter an applicants API and look at the badges what the pilot can fly, produce, mine, or whatever is important for the recruiters corp.

Very nice tool! You did a great job m8 :)

I would like to point you one thing though:

Under Badges/Spaceship Command/Miscellaneous Spaceship Command -> Black Ops Command

For the Expert level you have set Jump Portal Generation to be at lvl 4.

This is wrong as for the Black Ops pilot it only has to be on lvl 1 because it gives the ability to open jump bridge but it doesn't affects the fuel need (it affects fuel need only on Titans).

Keep up good work :)

Best,
Preacher

@Preacher
Thank you very much, for the commendation.

I didn't knew that with the Jump Portal Generation. But it seems, you know what you are talking about. So I changed the Black Ops Command Expert badge. Now, there is only the skill Jump Portal Generation lvl 1 needed at the medium badge.

I just thought this was interesting, but it's probably due to my own ineptitude at learning what skills I should be training.

I saw that I had no badges in armour tanking and was actually "supposedly" a better structure tanker than that.

I thought, "What? How the hell am I a better structure tank (Manly man) than an amour tank?"

"Oh, if I had just one day of training in this I would be medium. What the hell is honeycombing?"

At least now I know what I'm missing.

HI again :)

I was going more through the badges. I noticed following:

Under Professions/Exploration section - Survey skill should participate only with LVL 3 and be in the basic level only.

It is because that skill on lvl 3 is needed for Salvaging and Archeology skill, but more lvls of that skill does not contribute to any part of the Exploration profession.

In my opinion it should be only in Basic badge at lvl 3.

Best,
PK

Thank you, Preacher Kincaid.

Your right. I've changed the "Exploration Badge". Now the badge has only Survey III at basic. Thank you very much.

I remembered about this fail. This was an transfer from the old skilltracker. Big smile

Was toying with it a bit and here's a few remarks:

  • Dominix: since every Gallente gunboat is blasters OR rails, shouldn't the Dominix be Sentries OR Heavies? I notice the Ishtar and Gila are already like this so I guess this is an oversight?
  • Propulsion Afterburners: since the AB change, wouldn't Afterburner V be a good idea for Expert?
  • Exploration: Science V? For the tractor beam? Arguable I guess, but you did make me search why the hell Science V would be a requirement for an explorer... Blink (sure hope I didn't miss something bleedingly obvious though ... )

Keep up the good work.

Does this error skill occur? I just tried it and it worked fine.

I guess there was some API-Server hickup or something...
