I'm currently trying to buy and sell some blueprints using contracts, and have some questions:

  • In general, how can I determine the value of say, a tech II blueprint copy with two runs remaining and no research done on it?
  • When looking at a blueprint copy in a contract, It states max runs per blueprint copy, but I can't seem to find the number of runs remaining for the copy being sold.

When you're looking at a contract, it should state there all the information about runs remaining, ME and PE levels, in the "You get:" section. If you'd click on the little blue info-icon within the contract of the BPC you'll get the build numbers for that specific BPC.
If it doesn't, you're perhaps looking at a BPO instead of a BPC. (which should be clear, as both use different icons and it states either 'ORIGINAL BLUEPRINT' or 'BLUEPRINT COPY')

Add spreadsheets / some calculator to determine BPC item marketvalue / build cost / your profit margin.

Run the build calc, if the item is profitable. note down how much, and price accordingly

If i'm buying any bpc, i have a limit to work with, above input minerals/parts cost. if said bpc doesn't fall into the gap, then it isn't possible to profit from it, anyone with a calculator, or buying to build for profit will check.

Others just blindly buy them though, so use it as a guide, place an outlier, or overpriced contract and see if some takes it, you would be surprised.

use a month of research to track the offered prices and there ME and PE levels.
Then make the calculation if researching and selling those could make a profit .

In my experience you sshould place the priceibg decision into the hands of the person you are trading with, they will give you a good deal.
