1. Any part of the game will always be accessible to any player (stated clearly by CCP)

2. EVE is a pvp game.

So the CEO of a High-Sec Ganking Alliance Promotes and advertises for www.Shatteredcrystal.com.
CCP indorses this site, but at the same time they are abusing the system to killing off indys and other ships in EVE for people to make a NON-PVP living. From what I have read the outlined goal is to stop subscription paying players from being able to make money Via mining in High-Sec and force them to purchase ETC from Shatteredcrystal.com and convert it into PLEX which they intern sell to the market. CCP needs to make High-Sec "secure"

You got ganked in high-sec, been there done that had it done to me. That is part of the game so suck it up, move on and remember this from EVE 101: "Don't fly anything you cannot afford to lose".

Two of the defining characteristics of a carebear are wanting other players to play the way the carebear wants and whining on the forums for the game to change when they don't. Yet I see more threads on these forums from gankers than I do miners whining about wanting the game changed to suit them.

I never realized that ganking was considered an exploit Shocked

Seriously though, ganking has been accepted as part of the game and high sec isn't completely safe. Just click on your map and highlight pods destroyed in the last 24 hours, or even hour. The number of ships destroyed in high sec is even more impressive, although some of those are from mission runners.

Shattered Crystal is an authorized GTC seller. Presumably, the link is the Corp/Alliance affiliate link so they get some RL iskies from the sale to help cover forum/website costs. Works exactly the same as any other site with an affiliate link, nothing wrong here.

Player vs. Player interaction means that (at some level) something I do affects you (or vice versa).
Mining out an asteroid belt means that I can no longer mine that belt.
Ergo, Mining in EvE is PvP.

This is exactly it, and exactly why they are advertising. Goonswarm has an affiliate link to Shattered Crystal for members to help raise funds for our forums and voice chat servers, etc.

Shattered Crystal has nothing to do with the gank, and if you don't want to help those gankers while still buying GTC all you need to do is purchase those GTC from anywhere except through the exact referral link they provided.

Edit: Hahaha the so-called "endorsement" is from the link being in the CEO's bio. God I thought they were posting the referral links in local after ganks with the amount of huffing and puffing the OP was doing, yeah that is some corrupt and invasive advertising for sure Lol
