Thank you for the post. My original post stated High-Sec should be secure not safe. Your point is what i was talking about. A -10 should not have the right to use the gates and enter the High-Sec regions. I do appreciate the degrading statement as well .


the problem is not -10 people, there's plenty of real pirates out there that are the hearth of this game. the problem are nullsec carebears and highsec carebears, who create a 1mill sp catalyst alts (or 2, 3, 4 of them) and abuse them killing stuff. while avoiding the penalties the -10 lifestyle entails.

they think that the only penalty for a gank should be losing the ship, but it must also be being forced to live the -10 lifestyle, or grind their way back to -4.99 sec.

the difference is that i see banning them from highsec as a sad step to be taken because of all the kids pretending to be pirates boxing a fleet of catalysts. instead of something that should be done to penalize the "evil" people who take your stuff.

another solution would be to merge all accounts owned by any particular player, we all know that CCP knows who's whose alt. and then make security rating apply across all accounts.

they can get shot everywhere and get faction police coming after them all the time but NO THEY SHOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GET INTO HIGHSEC AT ALL SOMEONE ELSE FIX THIS.

they should be FORCED out of highsec and MADE to shoot nullsec rats because they SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO FORCE ME WHAT TO DO.

I've not seen any -10 avoiding any penalty installed by CCP re: operation in highsec. Facpo chases, outlaw so anyone can shoot. Stated goal of CCP, nobody will be locked totally out of any part of space.

Welcome to the sandbox, a group of people have decided to accept the penalty of flying -5 and below in highsec. They have devised strategies to mitigate the disadvantages. now rather than whinging to CCP to change it, how bouts you devise a strategy to make life more difficult for outlaws in highsec.

You can do it. I've got confidence in you. Go for it!

As someone who is on that killmail and was an eye-witness, I can assure you that this is a case of mistaken identity. The real criminal here was the Orca, as it was aidding and abetting bot aspirant behaviour. As noble Knights of the New Order, it is our sworn duty to enforce the laws of high sec (aka the New Halaima Code of Conduct) against such evil-doers. So the CEO of a High-Sec Ganking Alliance Promotes and advertises for www.Shatteredcrystal.com.
CCP indorses this site, but at the same time they are abusing the system to killing off indys and other ships in EVE for people to make a NON-PVP living. From what I have read the outlined goal is to stop subscription paying players from being able to make money Via mining in High-Sec and force them to purchase ETC from Shatteredcrystal.com and convert it into PLEX which they intern sell to the market. CCP needs to make High-Sec "secure"

Value = Demand / Supply.

When Supply goes up, Value goes down. That means when you have more difficulty earning a living in high-sec, that living has more intrinsic value than when it was easy for you.

That translates to ISK prices. During periods of mining difficulty, industrial minerals become more expensive, incentivising miners to become more proficient at mining safely. When they do, they bring home a more valued commodity and thus demand more pay.

This is simple economics.

"By mining smarter, not harder, and bringing home ore instead of losing a ship trying." Because by doing so, you can make more money than if it were "easy."

LOL that will never ever ever ever happen, there are far too many greedy miners to do that, why else to they fit for yield and not tank, why else to they multibox with lots of accounts, why else to they afk because mining is 'easy money' for the effort put in.


CCP gave you - the miners - a choice with the barge/exhumer rebalance, Big Tank OR Big Cargo OR Big Yield

The very fact that there are still so many untanked mining ships in empire even though ganking has grown in popularity over the last couple of years says a lot about a miners mindset, either "It'll never happen to me" or "hey I mine enough to pay for the occasional loss of a mining ship" or "Waaah an ebil gank squad has violated my space canoe - quick to the forums"

I used to be a miner but now I've not got the patience for it in empire, so I don't bother, I'd rather buy a plex and sell it for pos fuel than spend hours in a belt melting ice, but the last time I did it was just after the rebalance and I mined with skiffs since they have some tank, rather than a hulk which has most yield.

Sometimes I wonder what empire miners want, a battleship tank with the extraction rates of a hulk and the cargohold of a freighter? because keeping vigilant, using common sense when fitting, and being at the keyboard to earn your isk seems a little too hard Roll

Apart from their ****** corp name, xX-Crusader-Xx are pretty cool people. I flew with them awhile back & didn't even steal anything from them because they're so cool. It's great to see that they took my lessons to heart & now cause forum tears.
