request: small change to fw plex restrictions

novice: only t1 frigates including navy/pirate
small: only t2 frigates, destroyers
medium: only t1/t2 cruisers
large: unrestricted

basically: i'd like to see more ship hulls out and about

No thanks - I'd miss soloing cruisers in my condor.

On the flip side, I also love a swarm of destroyers attacking my cruiser (depending on which cruiser I have).

IMO, the current system is good because it allows you to break the "bigger is better" fleet doctrines. But it still allows you to take less powerful ships against more powerful ones if you so choose, and I would not like that option taken away.

but people who want to defend plexes or asault plexes will have to bring the appropriate ships.

also people who want to fight with cruisers against cruisers, albeit maybe t1 vs. t2, will be able to

same with the other size plexes.

Point is - your proposed change makes it near impossible to ship down/ship up to give the enemy an advantage inside a plex when fighting them, which will lead to far less fights.

Point is, in my experience the vast majority of squids are terrified to engage. I get the majority of my fights by shipping down and charging the plex they want to get LP from, or getting a ship class higher against the blob and waiting in a separate plex where it's harder for them to effectively warp in the blob from the next system. This would just reduce the amount of pvp I get, therefore I am strongly opposed.

TBH I would also like to see more ship types in FW being used.

I recently started flying cruisers more and all I find are frigs that just run away :(

With the rebalance the difference between T1 & T2 is a lot less now so it wouldn't automatically be a loss situation if you are in a plex in a T1 and a T2 warps in.

catch them on stargates or a-gates then.

yes i realize that with a-gates you can session change to be unpointable, but if you're sitting outside of a medium you might get some cruiser tempted to fight you.

just a thought.

At stargates they just burn back before I have time to kill them. And most squids wont fight unless

a) You threaten their LP acquisition
b) They think they will easily roflstomp you

We agree on our disdain of lm condors (personally they just aren't that interesting for me to fly, I know they are very powerful), but I disagree on your proposal because it would greatly reduce the amount of pvp I get.

Hey, I have a real job :) It's my use of t1 frigs and hiding intel on squid gangs so I can solo them is all I got going for me!

(On that note, that's another reason i hate Caerin's auto-notification idea. I wanna be able to hide the location of squid gangs so I can farm the BC points and not Nexx! Or not just have them run away as everyone within 3 jumps runs for the notification)

EDIT: Also, if I were forced to share intel, then I couldn't just sneak you into the fight when I need just a tiny bit of backup instead of bringing down the whole blob.

EDIT 2: Yes I know I just took a good joke and over analyzed it.

I can't say that I like this. If you want to see more hulls out and about, you should fly them and you should get your buddies to fly them.
