^^ This is true.

A lot of people have more than one character/account to deal with this issue. You may not be too keen on the idea at the moment but having a trade character to fund your combat character is really nice.

The other thing you can do if you are new is to buy PLEX with real money to fund your combat PVP. At least until you figure out a way to make more than the PLEX is worth a month with your second account/character. Also regarding PVP, start with small ships, they tend to be cheaper.

How do you link missions in the chat? Don't say drag it because that does not work for me.

Okay...I was harsh with the classes part. But as alts are plentyful you can never be sure about if its a genujne newbro.

Just keep 1 thing in mind about EVE vs any other MMO:

Unlearn anything you have learned. Specially the slang.

There are no quests or classes in EVE, there are missions and skills.
Also keep in mind that EVE is a more PvP based MMO which means there is no completely risk free PvE enviroment and the PvE in EVE is quite limited.

Missions are linked by dragging and dropping them from the mission journal.

Only fleet members can view the link. Anyone else clicking the link will have nothing happen.

You might have to be in a fleet to even drop a link in the first place.
