Respect. Cool

I think that it is GREAT that CCP is banning people that like to do things outside the rules that mess up the game for everyone else. Excellent news!

Best news I have had all day.

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

Great. Still waiting on a ban for the RMT ad spamming bots in Jita.

I still think the Report ISK Spammer function, like the crosswalk button, isn't actually wired to anything.

Respect. Cool

I would have to agree 100%. The bot spamming for RMT in Jita and elsewhere needs to be addressed.

Anyone got a summary or a link to a CCP source? No way I'm giving Alex Gianturco any page views.

There's a million angry citizens looking down their tubes..at me.

It's a shame CCP won't do anything about the statistically proven botters that spam Jita local.

If it's such good news, then there will be an official CCP source you can cite instead of the head of goon propaganda.

You are an idiot if you think CCP will ever tell you that they've started doing what the article claims they have.

O.K. so the "good news" is some 3rd party unsubstantiated claims. Check.

That's on-par for GD I suppose.

But if all the botters will be gone...then who will I AFK cloaky camp all day?

Oh yeah... Real players!!!!! Hooray for local chat harassment!!! I can wait for them to tell me what my mother has been up to without my knowledge.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?

Team Security began, for what some bot developers believe is the first time, actually checking for botting and bot-enabling software running on a player’s computer.

I got a bit hung up on that part.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Nothing with be done. It's a problem that is too rife.

Look at games such as SRO for example, where botting is there in your face and the dev's won't ban them all because of the sizable revenue the botters bring in.

Instead, some announcement is made where they claim to issue bans with little or no proof. And if anything only the casual botters with few accounts will end up banned.

So yea, proof or it didn't happen.
