all that have the problem with random accounts getting disabled even with an active and okay key

i have learned that its allmost allways the same few persons who get disabled but delete the account and tell them to reregister with a new api key works like charm

Yesterday I investigated this issue... it may be connected with Pheal and a time out request from the API site (at least for my case).

in Pheal config file, I changed http method to https and it's working great now !

something going wrong parsing this i guess this is what i get
high slots, med and low etc all the fittings in the wrong place :(

anyone have any idea on how to fix it?

Awesome mod.

I'm having a problem with fittings though.

All I am getting is a blank screen as you can see here;

Everything else seems to be working fine though.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem, or is it just me?

This project seems to be abandoned now. Owner has promised updates but nothing.

While it's a good script, it's only going to become out of date in time and with no code updates, it's just going to be a pain int he backside when it does eventually break.

i have succesfully updated the eveapi_items table on our forums to support inferno
tested it it should work.

rename your original table then import the sql included in this zip file:

i included all the new mods etc spent a few hours putting everything in the right catagory

Im trying to install this on a fresh phpbb3 install and get the following error every time i try to add an API:

Fatal error: Cannot access protected property PhealException::$code in functions_eveapi.php on line 275

Can anyone help?

Hey all,

got problems to activate TS API. For any reason it does not apply the settings i made. I check the TS Server log. Query user seems to connect to the Server (listed under all clients). Every time i try to set multiple TeamSpeak UID: (differnent Users) and submit, the UID disappears and no permissions were set.

i reset my TS more than once, every time i use a new, fresh Serverquery username and password and put it into the TS API Tab in my forum.


Any any ideas?

supplement: Fixed it, it was a missmatch between the group ID´s after resetting the TS3 (groups under Corporation tab)

The quieter you become, the more you are able to hear...

Will release 6.0.0 tomorrow (skipping v5.4), which will feature semi-automated install using AutoMOD and Umil.
(So no more manual database updating or worrying about which files to upload and which not).

Currently have a test-build with Inferno 1.0 data, but will update it to Inferno 1.1 before release.

Bugs like '$e->code being private' or 'fittings not being posted correctly due to / in their name' have been solved.
A lot of smaller issues have been solved aswell, but honestly too many to recall.


Last but not least; I know I fixed alot, but there is still the chance I haven't fixed the bug that you may or may not have replied about. Please reply to this topic (again) after 6.0.0 is released, to confirm that "your" bug is still active.

Hereby I release version 6.0.0 of the EVE API for phpBB mod!

Most noticable changes are the new installation wizard, which will also be capable of updating to new releases with the click of a button. The $e->code and fitting posting should be working correctly now.

In order to update to this release when running v5.x, follow these steps:

  • BACKUP! Create a damn backup!
  • Disable the cronjob from running root/eveapi_cron.php (if applicable).
  • Upload all the files from the clean directory of the package to the root of your forum. (These are clean unmodded original files)
  • Upload the prepare_for_eveapi_6_0_0.php file from the tools/update directory of the package to the root of your forum.
  • Run said prepare_for_eveapi_6_0_0.php, you should see no warnings and the simple text "DONE!" once complete.
  • Delete said prepare_for_eveapi_6_0_0.php from your forum.
  • Now follow the steps meant for new users.


For new users, follow these steps:

  1. BACKUP! Create a damn backup!
  2. Install AutoMOD, phpBB's easy mod installation package which can be found at http://www.phpbb.com/mods/automod/ (Installation steps available at that link aswell).
  3. Upload all the files from the upload directory of the package to your forum. (Replace files -> Yes).
  4. Run your-webhost.com/your-forum/install/index.php and follow the steps to install the database side of the mod.
  5. Delete the install directory from the root of your forum.
  6. Log into the Admin Control Panel of your forum, where you should notice a tab called AutoMOD.
  7. At the AutoMOD screen, click on Browse and point it towards the EVE API 6.0.0 for phpBB [AutoMOD].zip file contained inside the package.
  8. Hit Upload
  9. Click on Install
  10. Clear the forums cache, and re-check all your settings to be sure they are still correct.


Unfortunately I wasn't able to update the database to the Inferno 1.1 release, so the package only holds the "slightly" outdated Inferno 1.0 database files.

Version 6.0.0 of the mod can be downloaded here.

I ran into issues, upgrading from latest version :
- When installing the API mod (step 4), I had a sql error (sorry, I didnt copy it). I tried to install again, and it worked
- At step 9, I have this error : Could not upload attachment to ./../store/mods/eve_api_6.zip. I had to manually modify the mods folder rights.

Now in ACP, I can't associate Alliances and Corporations to groups ! http://clip2net.com/s/24IuF

Are you sure you followed all the steps?
It sounds like you forgot to upload some files from the upload directory.

You can also try to remove and then re-add the EVE API modules.

The error of step 9 is because the directory didn't have the right permissions to allow file uploads. This is a generic phpBB error which should be pointed out during initial phpBB installation.

When installing, I am running into the following error:


Inserting data in the eveapi_items database table.

SQL ERROR Incorrect string value: '\x96 Auth...' for column 'itemName' at row 10441

This is from a completely clean install of phpBB3 during the 4th step.
