Popping noise when the client is running, resulting in audio driver crashing

So I have three different headsets to test with, a Logitech G930, an old Plantronics Gamecom (roommate doesn't use it anymore) and a brand new out of box Corsair Vengeance 1500.

With all three headsets I have crystal clear audio UNTIL I start the Eve client. With the client running (even with Audio Disabled) I get popping noises, and eventually, the audio driver just crashes and I can't hear anything out of the headset at all anymore until I unplug/replug it.

This occurs whether I'm running background music (winamp) or not.

Any way I can actually disable Eve's sound so it doesn't crash my driver?
