My screen flickers after explosions in space

Hi,

As the subject line states my screen flickers after explosions in space. This goes on until i click out of the game on my second monitor causing the game to minimize... once i come back the problem is solved until after docking and undocking from a station. Then i have to repeat the cycle after each of the first explosion. I'm wondering if i've set something that's causing this to happen.

I have:

GPU: 2x radeon 6670 HD
CPU: AMD FX-6100 6 x 3.3GHz processors
RAM: 8 GB DDR3 1600mhz

using an insignia 720p 32 inch HD tv for primary monitor and a Gatway 18" monitor off to the side
