It's 38 jumps to Jita, and you're contemplating just what provisions you'll need.

While my personal favorite remains Lagavulin 16yo, I've also recently been enjoying Laphroaig 18yo while listening to a http://ralfy.com vid in the background.

What fine drams do you pilots partake of in the long lonely journeys across New Eden?

Be careful in Pulsar systems, you might get Pod Flu.

I try to stay away from alcohol as much as I can. Except for the communion wine which I just drink out of respect when there's no alcohol free alternative.

The very sun of heaven seemed distorted when viewed through the polarising miasma welling out from this sea-soaked perversion, and twisted menace and suspense lurked leeringly in those crazily elusive angles of carven rock where a second glance shewed concavity after the first shewed convexity.

Second the Lagavulin, though one of the the bottles in my cabinet right now says "21 years." It's the sherry cask-aged bottling, and bloody pricy, too. I doubt I'll ever pay that much for a dram again - though I don't regret it, either. Bloody perfect whisky. Cool

Unfortunately, paying north of US$600 / fifth makes it 'Births, Weddings, and Funerals' only.

The 16 year Lagavulin is very fine, but there are matches for it in quality. I also have a fondness for Bunnahabhain, Macallan, and Laphroaig. My day-to-day tipple is Dalwhinnie, which is a very centrally-balanced whisky.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

I'll never say "No" to a good bottle of mead.

This one in particular.

Sure, it's not a single malt, but whatever gets you through space.

The amusing thing there is that about three commenters down in your link is an actual neckbeard. Big smile

I'm hoping you use Wine Preserver on it, or the oxygen will get to it eventually.

I've found the Macallan's to be hit and miss for me (as for the Laphroaigs). Macallan 12 I didn't like but 15 and 18 are very nice indeed. Macallan 18 is similar enough to Lagavulin Distiller's Edition that I tend to lean toward it instead (~ $60 less to boot).

Laphroaig: 10yo Quarter Cask is good but I haven't tried their main whisky yet.

I'll have to add Bunnahabhain to my "try" list as I've heard about it but not yet had the opportunity.

Huh. So there is. Never would have noticed had you not said something.

In addition to what you said above, A fine Macallan 15 served neat while flying a dreadnaught can't be beat.

pffft, that's what contracts are for. I'm like Janet Jackson, I need a new spaceship each time I visit a different system so I just purchase and go.

Cold beer.
Since I am no connoisseur of beer, as long as it's cold I'm happy!

I wholeheartedly agree with you on the 15yo. I tell people that yes, it's OK to add ice to the 12yo though. Smile

I currently drink mostly Laphroaigs, basically whatever Islay I can afford when at the liquor store, right now I have some quarter cask and some 10 year old.
