That is why they rent servers in England. And have offices in other places that are not so much like Antarctica.Lol

It's true. The current weather forecast should give you an idea of how bad it is. Last night they were warning about the possible frost bite you could get if you went outside without proper clothing.

Looks like a fictional weather forecast, seems way to cold for anywhere people live and it mentions snow, which I have never seen so must go in the same category as dragons, fairies and sea monsters.

Now I know places do get colder than that but why would people live there?

So best advice throw more fuel on the fire and go deeper into the cave.

How is that too cold? -12 is not as bad as the -30 that russia gets sometimes :s

HA...HAHA... and Ha! -6c is cold? We've had days in Minnesota where the high was about -15c (+5 F). You all are wusses =P

How often does it get above ~60 F (rusty on my celsius measurements, havent taken chem in a while) in Minnesota? if the answer is "not often", i will have to move there, Kentucky has become far too warm for my tastes in recent years.

as another plus, if my geography does not betray me, Minnesota is farther from Jersey than Louisville, which is always an extra plus.

Sorry, if you move to Minnesota you need to be prepared to deal with temperatures from -25F to +100F based on the past couple of years alone.

lol, i can't think of a time when Texas went into the negatives.....then again, yesterday it was already 90F, i predict another triple digit summerRoll

I prefer 'Bone' it's a good coloring for my Business cards too.

Damnit, fellow Minnesotan beat me to it :(

Today is, what, 28 degrees F/ -2 degrees C, and I didn't wear a coat today because it feels NICE (coat is in the car in case of ending up stranded, of course). With no wind, anything at or above the freezing point feels pretty damn nice this time of year.

What I wanna know is why/how did people USED to live here? Before central heating and air conditioning?

I am not an alt of Chribba.

Thick walls, fires, lots of clothing, and do not underestimate the ability of the human body to adapt, especially if they grow up there.

Renaming the rookie ships Corvettes makes sense, especially when the pirate faction versions are factored in.

Naah. A corvette would be heavier armed, but about the same level of protection, and slower. Meaning: Effectively useless. Historically, Corvettes were ASW escorts, weaker than destroyers in all respects - speed, firepower, and survivability.

Basically, if you could put a popgun on a shuttle, you'd have a corvette.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

But how do you get pirate ones, if rookie ships remain racially bound? Maybe changing it to be based on the station owner instead of your race.

Rookie ship based on the station owner would be good - if it happened I can see a nice sideline in parking some alts in cloning stations in delve, curse, venal etc to farm some for the collectors market.

My first thought is that they would become your default rookie ship if you joined a pirate faction for faction warfare next release.

Way too cold, it gets to -5C here in winter and that is too cold give me 38C + any day

We get a lot of days here over 110 F, and I would take those any day over the cold.

QFT. However that doesn't change the fact Corvette is a better name than Rookie Ship.

Why not? Where I live in New Zealand, the temperatures match those in the winter and top 30C during the day in the summer.

So DUST Bunnies get Corvettes to hop around space

I don't know jack about Dust since I'm not a big fan of FPS's and don't own a PS3 but if doable that would be amazing.

Sort of like a DUST Troop Ship of sorts. Allow players up to stations and visit say a cityscape area on some worlds. Allows EVE players to hunt them requiring escorts and intel.

Say 20k EHP Destroyer size, Cruiser speed. I don't know if it would interface well though. A lot of ground work would have to go into it but imagine missions where the Capsuleer enters the complex, the Troop Ship Docks and the Capsuleers fight off waves while the Bunnies clear the base.

Celcius is easy:

0 degrees: Pure water goes to solid state (freezing point).
37 degrees: Body temperature.
100 degrees: Pure water goes to gaseous state (boiling point).

They have excellent side benefits.
By that I mean ufettered access to the world that lay under the crust and the dinosaur's there.

Also its not that bad, I lived where my socks froze solid inside my sleeping bag inside my tent while I was on an insulated air mattress.
