I am a total noob when it comes to ecm.

just wondering if anyone could give me a clue on what exact skills I will be needing to half way fly a caldari recon properly.

any help would be rewarded with virtual chocolate fishes.

Long Distance Jamming -> lv 4, range increase

Electronic Superiority Rigging -> lv 3 or 4 , as the Medium Particle Dispersion Projector I (rig to increase ECM strength) in expense of shield, better lower the drawback.

a common gang fit is armour tanked. falcon is slow, plated slower. the new armour honeycomb should be worth a go to 4. More m/s never a bad thing usually. I cba to eft atm but I am its not looking too bad for other plated ride fits I have changed up on paper (int/mem respec is coming soon so I have been jsut 2/3'ing all these new int/mem skills in the newer patches).

falcon to me means scorpion for a change of pace time to time (or to not be so paper thin tanky for larger ops). I like to run reppers in the utilitiies. I see you got shield and armour rr good....I'd throw in hull to max out support. I was partial to armour and hull rr on my scorps at any rate. At some point some ship's ass is leaving a smoke trail lol...you get cool points for putting it out I found.

I am not seeing the new sensor boost skill trained (or I am jsut tired lol). May as well give that a go in case someone tries to jam the falcon. May not stop the jam all the time but better than nothing imo.

I would make sure all of your ECM support skills are ATLEAST at IV. From there, train up honeycombing to IV. After that your best best bet is to train Recon V. I wouldn't go RR on a falcon because your cap is already quite precious and you need your mids for those jammers and prop mod. Warp into the fight at 100 and start jamming everything while kill-mail whoring with an arty. Your jamming order is normally anti-support > anti-dps > dps. Stay on field until you start taking damage, warp out to a nearby celestial, rinse and repeat.

If you need more detailed type about flying EWAR contact me in-game. I do it for a living ;)

In addition to what everyone else said: Before you put yourself into a ship that costs several hundred million isk, you might want to practice with a Blackbird while you wait on getting into the falcon. All the skills that blackbird uses are the same prereqs for the Falcon.

They are cheap, so you can (and will) lose a lot of them without breaking the bank. Plus, if you can keep a blackbird alive, you can keep a Falcon alive.

This man speaks the truth. Shame on you all and may a nerf bat strike down your Falcons!
