No I mean it is almost like they have mellowed out some this year, they don't seem to be acting like a sack of crazy cats.

Even the CSM election this year seems to be done with care, after all I am Frying Doom, resident nut job, and all I can see wrong from my perspective is Mynnna's contributions to James 315. The rest of his platform seems well thought out and reasonable.

And the forum posting this year by almost all your members is more well thought out and reasoned, rather than the usual we said it so it is obviously right approach.

Any spelling, grammatical and punctuation errors are because frankly, I don't care!!

What if we layered on to that mechanics that are affected by standings towards the 4 empire factions? ill give some examples:

Specific examples aside, it'd be interesting for standing to mean a bit more than it does now, or for another way to express it, to have meaning to people who aren't doing industry or trade, since if you're one of those people, standings either mean you're being shot at or you're not.

One of the other areas i know you have very particular views with is the whole AFK camping / local = too much info, area. i appreciate both arguments for afk camping, i do also believe that the intel gained by local is in some way justified by taking holding and upgrading/improving your own space, however, the all seeing eye of local needs to have its achilles heel(s) as to catch the ignorant and reaffirm darwinism in null.

Yeah, I basically agree with this. The tools should be connected to the control of your space and more capable tools would be more costly to run.

The general mechanism of having to pass through/get near a gate to appear at all would be an interesting twist too. I'm sure the wormhole crowd would enjoy it, and the dwellers of normal space would hate it. [;)

You just mean, issler isn't running again this year, so all the goons are mellowed out for this election.

Just listened to your interview with Crossing Zebras.

Do you really want us to belive that geting elected to the CSM will all of a sudden make you find your moral center and you'll not try and abuse any information gained for your personal or your friends benefit?

I don't buy it. You've demonstrated so far that you're more than willing to break or bend the rules when it comes to your wallet. Just saying "I pinky swear that I won't do it if I am CSM" is clearly not enough.

You're welcome to not buy it. Seeing as there's not really anything I can actually do to prove otherwise, I'm not going to bother to try to convince you.

e: Well, "can't do anything" isn't strictly true. I could point out how I'm well aware that I got off lightly with the FW thing, and that the course of the investigation into that offered a peek into CCP Internal Affairs, and that as a result of that stunt my accounts and those of my associates are very well known, and so as a result of that peek and those factors I know better than to think that I could slip anything past CCP, that I'd have to be foolish to think that they'd go lightly. And, of course, I'm not sure why I'd want it to be a matter of public record that I'm happy to break an NDA, especially given my line of work.

But if you're going to make the assumptions required to come to the conclusion that I'd try anyway, that the moral center just isn't there (clearly an assumption you've already made, as you mentioned it) and that I'm too dumb or greedy enough to consider the pragmatic side of things, then, well... that's your prerogative, and I won't miss your vote.

Mr Roland is apparently unaware that CSMs are scrutinised not just by GMs in the ordinary way, but by the Internal Affairs department. If people are concerned to stop Mynnna "bending and breaking the rules", then electing him to the CSM is one of the most effective ways of achieving this.

I am not assuming anything. By your actions you have already demonstrated that you are willing to break and bend the rules for personal gain if you think you can escape the consequences. It's up to you to convince voters who share similar concerns why you would act differently when in a position of CSM.

Oversight and the threat of CCP's security team is just a very strong deterrent. In other words what would you do when you are in a position where you think you can get away with it again? Why would you choose to act differently in that case because you are serving as a community representative?

I think it's clear you have not thought yet about either of those two questions so yes i will be taking my votes elsewhere. Thank you for your time.

It's only up to me to convince a voter of anything if they're open to the possibility of being convinced.

From your entrance into the thread, you very plainly weren't.

So! Any other NPC alt posters want to come get more attention from me than they really deserve? Smile

I'll leave the biscuits to someone else. I'm too lazy to work out quite the way Roc does and so take other measures, such as avoiding large quantities of carbs.

Mynnna, I have a question: If you could return any one ship to it's former glory of awesomeness, which one would it be? Not a nerf, just a return a ship stats or abilities to what it could do, even upon game launch.

I'm slightly disappointed that your answer isn't ginger snaps, but hey, low carb diets are pretty awesome so I'll let it slide.

Well, it's a purely subjective question, so I'll give a purely objective answer. I miss my speed-era nano Sacrilege. :(

Hard question to answer objectively though, since in most (all?) cases the "former glory of awesomeness" was also pretty damn broken.

Well if "biscuit" is some sort of weird British term for "Cookie" that changes things. Ginger snaps are good, as are oatmeal raisin cookies and macademia nut cookies and frankly, quite a lot of other cookies.

It's an anglicism of "biscotti"
