Just out of curiosity how much isk and training skills time does it take to have and properly fit and fly one of those ships?.

Someone said you can't do PVE on it, may I ask why?

2 year more or less to fly it well + 90b in hull and fitting

as for pve: titan are huge target everyone and it's grandma want to kill one, also aside from ratting many type of pve have ship restrictions a well fitted titan would probably solo tank an incursion mom site if allowed in it.

There was a time you couldn't even log them out.

I'm sure the Super Cap situation in EVE would be much different if that were still the case.

why do you make this stuff up

supercapitals have always been able to log out since the day they were introduced

See what happens when people find out you have Logi 5 trained.

that pretty much also makes you a slave to the ship when it comes to fleets atleast.

Same for Reccons V Dictors/Heavy and Command ships, once you get known for having top skills for those you stop having fun.

Dictors got me burn out of Eve for a very long time, was funny at the beginning less funny when I was asked to come with and told "wtf?-where's your dictor?"
Now I still have one in my hangars but if I'm asked to come with and I don't feel that I want to I just log off, that simple.

Titans are more like a retirement Toon everyone wants to have in his corp or alliance, brings theoretical power threat and makes you travel stuff all across Eve the fastest/safest possible way., well unless you hit the wrong button like DBRD and that ends well Lol

A holding toon only costs 6B.

Of course, you'll want it on an alt account ...

I do think it's a bit crap that you basically need a second character to 'hold' a super. Perhaps with the pos revamp (coming winter 2024) they'll include a way to securely park and lock a super at a tower.

No you don't.
Just don't use your main for flying supers. Train (or buy) an alt for that.

i fly recons and logi. but if i have the choice I fly recon every time.

for the people asking why i 'let' the FC decide what ships he wants in his fleet. it's because I value not welping a whole fleet / no fleet going out more than flying the ship prefer

A second character to sit in them or a second character to fly them, you still end up with a second char or second account. It'd be nice if there was a way that made it slightly more possible (but by no means 'safe', easy or entirely independant - no docking, for example) for a single character to do it

If you can fly a titan, you should be able to afford to run at the very least two accounts concurrently.
You should probably not be flying a titan if you can't.

Sure there is. Put your single character in a titan and use it. You won't be able to do your own cynos, but if you use cynos provided by FCs, that wouldn't matter.
