The passive bonus formerly yielded by active hardeners is still referenced in the Basic, Standard, and Elite Armor Reinforcement Certificates.

This certificate represents an elite level of competence in improving armor resistances. It certifies that the holder obtains considerable additional protection from Plating and Energized Plating modules, as well as from Armor Hardeners which have not been activated.With this certificate you can expect your "passive" plating modules to significantly improve your resistance levels.
