Banning of tech 2 items in high sec

All tech 2 equipment should be banned in high sec. CCP is nerfing ships and ammo so all ships are nearly equal, therefore to prevent pvp'rs coming in to steal your wrecks, salvaging or otherwise, and having the upper hand killing the pilots doing those missions.

Thieves go in and salvage your mission wrecks, its still stealing. Stealing your loot, and salvaging your wrecks that you made during a mission, is still stealing. Last night some ******* thieves were allowed to legally STEAL our wrecks. That is still stealing. That rule should be amended, that if you salvage a wreck in a mission area, you have performed an act against the corporation and faction for stealing and as such lose on all standings of that faction and lose on sec status, and classed as an enemy of that faction.

Tech 2 equipment should be banned from high sec, because tech 2 equipment is being used to have the upper hand on missioners in their missions.

If someone even remotely says that eve is a pvp game only, then why the hell are their mission agents, npc enemies that can be ratted in belts, anomalies and various other means of making bounties.

TECH 2 gives too much advantage to players stealing your wrecks and getting away with it, and then the player in the mission still loses his ship because they kill him with tech 2 items and/or ships. Come on, ccp is nerfing due having too much upper hand, but they still allow tech 2 to be used in high sec to steal and kill mission pilots, and they still get away with it. CCP seriously needs to amend their rules there a bit.

First off, CCP didnt rebalance ships just to cater to your needs, they rebalanced them because there were numerous ships with no purpsoe because of how weak they are.

second, if someone steals you loot, why SHOUDL a corporation care? they stole from you, an independent capsuleer, not the asets of the corporation.

third, If you are having so much trouble competing with people who have invested more SP, ISK, Skill, and Time into a given field than you, whats wrong with that? why not invest in the T2's to match them?

fourth, eve IS a pvp game, there are always players you are competing against, hell, youve been pvp'ing every time you try and get "your" wrecks before the other players do, anytime you interact with another player, or influence them in soem way (the amrket), you are participating in pvp.

fifth, get over yourself, your not so important that CCP should cater entire game mechanics and restrictions to your needs, plenty of people DONT have this problem, so it seems to be rather personal.

sixth, 99% of eve would disagree with the banning of T2 ships, i mean seriously, WHY? for one, where would they be sold then? low/null? way to give every shipwright industrialist the finger bro. there is literally no sense or reason to your arguments.

You've really just suggested one of the worst ideas on this forum

First, the it was recently changed to not be a crime towards a corp and a faction wouldn't care what happened to the wrecks of their enemies

Second, you can shoot the people who're stealing from you

And third, why ban t2, from high sec, it's an advantage that you're not wise enough to use

"The homogenization of EVE began when Gallente and Caldari started sharing a weapon system."---Vermaak Doe-- "Ohh squabbles ohh I love my dust trolls like watching an episode of Maury with less " Is he my Dad " but more of " My Neighbor took a dump on my lawn " good episode! pops more corn" ---Evernub--

Wow, that is the dumbest suggestion I've ever seen. Beats the hell out of "I want a magic box that makes planets out of space dust!"

T2 ships are an edge, and they are paid for through the nose. But that would have absolutely no effect on ninja salvagers. They would carry on in whatever ship they felt like.

I think you were in an exploration site, and someone came in, popped your Dread, (because your so carebear there's no way your not in caldari space,) and they probably made off with something like a Pithi A-Type Small Shield Booster worth around 400m isk.

Could have even been me, but hey, grow a pair. Learn to play this PvP oriented game.

Everyone
vs
Everyone

It really is the name of the game.

I would also like to point out, that faction gear surpasses T2 and if T2 was banned, you would still be screwed over by faction fits and ships.
In fact, you sound so tear laden and terrible that you would probably lose out to week old players in T1 fail fits.

Please tell me you have worked out that its a bad idea to armour tank and shield tank your ship at the same time...

I forgot to ask before:

If T2 ships get banned, then how long before the same reasoning gets faction ships banned?
After that, how long before Battleships get banned, because they are too powerful compared to other ships?
Then Battlecruisers...
Then Cruisers...
Then Destroyers, leaving highsec as just frigates...
But then willo they be too powerful?

May as well just make highsec rookie ships only. Oh, and ban everything but civilian mods, they are so powerful after all.

High sec for rookie ships only !!!

It will create a lot of teamplay with capsuleers teaming for their level 4 missions, and the isk/hour will be lower so -> isk sink !

Only advantages.

Yeah... especially when you need to move large volume of goods 20 jumps in a rookie ship: move part of goods > pod express > free rookie ship > move another part > self destruct > new free rookie ship > ... > etc.

Not only isk sink but time sink too. win/win situation.

Solution : salvage drones i,
5m^3, bandwidth 5 . .
have the same effect as about 60% of a normal salvagers,
just let them out and sip some beverage.
The drones are fully automatic, since x - patches ago.

Interesting thought.

Seams too tough to touch. A little bit like brain surgery.
Once you start setting down laws and rules and bans and DON'T'S
, the game just start becoming illogical.

An organized group of bandits, stealing loot.
I love it. Sounds like the birth of a syndicate of Concord frack-ing criminals.
This is what EVE needs.

Again, once some one starts implementing... Rules and laws and DONTS .. things just get .....etc Arrow

This is a joke, right? Someone woke up from a coma recently and thinks it's April 1st, right? Ban T2 from highsec? How will you do your missions if you can't use T2 fittings? Haha, oh lordy my sides. Except that I'm not laughing, even if it's a joke it's the worst joke ever.

Listen carefully: CCP condones Ninja Salvaging as a profession. That "stealing" of your wrecks? CCP knows about it and says it's 100% okay. If you can't get to your wrecks before someone else can, then they get the salvage and you don't. There's really no other way to say it. Mission faster. Were you in a fleet doing L4s? Then you should have been done in plenty of time.

Maybe you should stop flying battleships fitted with cruiser guns and a named-module tank. Train your skills so that you can fit T2 guns, use a T2 tank, and actually get a worthwhile level of bonuses out of your ship so that you can complete the mission in something resembling a timely fashion. If you're doing them in a fleet, then someone should train to fly logistics so everyone else can fit less tank and more gank, to burn through missions even faster. Try missioning somewhere other than the local market hub because of course there will be ninja salvagers there and plenty of them. They're practicing a legitimate profession, according to CCP. I repeated that part because it seems like you need it repeated.

This thread is truly awful and you should feel truly awful for posting it. Go train your skills, learn to fit a ship, learn to mission properly and then take another look at your situation in three months.

Terrible thread, but disabling T2 from hisec is actually a good idea. Once you move 4/10s and lvl 4s from hisec, rest of the "content" can be easily consumed with meta fits.

how does getting rid of t2 exactly get rid of gankers and vultures?

Start with gankers. Even I with 3 years in game, core elite tfiting done and even rig skills like projectiles to 4 (to reduce fitting penalty and to run t2 rigs) have fitting issues on some fits. issues resolved with non t2 high meta gear. My points/scram are generally not t2. My dcu is best named. My prop mods are best named. This is short of keeping t2 or death fleet sock sniffers happy on 0.0 fleet ops my SOP for less formal pvp. You'd jsut have the rest of the fit not being t2 over what is high meta already. This not going to dry up ganking in empire. Lots of PVP runs off of high meta, not t2 gear. Its a selling point of RvB in fact. Its noob friendly pvp to break them early not needing 10 mil sp to make the t2 fit nazi's happy. Can't run t2 guns....well come on and play anyway.

Vultures....even I don't use t2 salvagers as a runner currently. Just not a skill I got to 5'ing for some reason. YOur vultures on the cans are probably t1. The prober that found you is probably running sisters gears (ie not t2). Its been the standard for years before ccp t2'd this, and when they did many said meh...why change a good setup.

L4s have already been nerfed into the ground compared to how they were before, I guarantee you that nobody will run them as they are if you move them out of high. Some people simply lack the capacity to accept that someone might want to do something with their sandbox other than what that person likes and I will never understand why.

Some people also want to voice totally unrelated issues in threads, although that part I do understand.

Anyway, on the topic of gankers, the New Order seems to kill all kinds of post-buff mining barges, generally using little more than low-meta Catalysts with faction ammo.

Don't let the mechanics of the game break you. In Soviet Russia...
