At the bottom of the cargo window is an line quoting an Est Price. Anyone know the formula or technique that CCP uses to generate that average price? Is it a 5 day running average of all regions? Major hubs? etc?

I think the Goons figured it out (or got reasonably close enough). I think this was the figure they were manipulating for the FW Trillion market manipulation deal. Having said that, I'm not sure. Maybe the 20-day average of the major market hubs?

Three month running weighted average of all sales of that item in all of Eve, updated "periodically". That massive window is why it tends to be a poor estimate on volatile items.
