Jita inaccessible from any gate for a very significant amount of time

If only there were other places in EVE to buy things....

CCP MAKE JITA2!!!

If you've never tried PvP in EvE it's quite possible you've missed out on one of the greatest rushes available in modern gaming.

I think the solution to the jita problem is to implement operation "burn the doorsteps of jita". This would be doing high security a service by allowing people stuck on jita gates to be unstuck and may even solve some of the interior traffic issues.

That would generate lots of tears and tehn most likely some nerf to ganking. As soon as the campaign stops, the players will return to thier habits of old and Jita will be back to flooded status.

A scarily high percentage of people in Jita are spam bots with your usual buy/sell/trade scam contracts involving PLEXes or worthless faction crap. And remember, it's totally legit.

It will soon be harder to make a legit sale with a contract than to scam people with them because people will see a price that makes sense and look away because they know there has got to be another trap...

It is closed because all the sheep go there because it is "the" place to be instead of actually using their brains.

Two of the defining characteristics of a carebear are wanting other players to play the way the carebear wants and whining on the forums for the game to change when they don't. Yet I see more threads on these forums from gankers than I do miners whining about wanting the game changed to suit them.

What about if CCP implemented a traffic control queue? You click the gate, you get put in the jump queue.

"Pilot, your presence in Jita is important to us. You have been placed in a queue. You are currently 8th in the queue to jump into Jita. We expect to service your jump request in approximately 5 minutes."

"Pilot, you have been advanced in the queue. You are currently 5th in the queue to jump into Jita. We expect to service your jump request in approximately 3 minutes."

"Pilot, you have been advanced in the queue. You are currently first in the queue to jump into Jita. We expect to service your jump request in approximately 30 minutes."
