more dust marketing schill? Who cares? If the whole point of live events is to sell copies of dust, then not only are they safe to ignore, they are better off ignored. Still, eve lore is, always has been, and likely always will be completely divoreced from the experience of eve. It's that meaningless prattle you click through as quickly as possible so you can get to your mission.

You couldn't be more incorrect, given the fact that DUST is free to play. There's no need to sell it.

As for the purpose of live events? They're there to help bring New Eden and its backstory to life. While we accept there's some people in game who aren't interested in backstory at all and just want to blow stuff up, in the same respect we'd like to cater to those who actually want to be able to immerse themselves in the game world's history and discover why things are the way they are in game.

We make spaceships for people to fly. We make mission related content for those who want to PVE. We make tools to drive conflict for those who want to destroy and tools that encourage people to build and explore for those who want to manufacture and research. Live events are another facet of EVE, designed for those who want to involved themselves with ongoing storyline.

played dust and the textures look pretty dated :( hopefully some higher res stuff gets worked on as the PS4 nears. Also, long distance shooting just feels inaccurate.

The fittings and structure of the game is great, but the gameplay itself needs moar. I guess thats why its still in beta.

I bet you are leaving the inevitable microtransactions out on purpose =)

NOTHING is free. Especially in EVE.

4 toon portraits - and I thought it will be news about WiS re-animation but instead Playstation 3 content. Left disappointed.

"What? CCP is bringing Dust to the PC?!"

"Never mind."

Microtransactions?

Microtransactions.

How much DOES a fancy paint job for the dusties armor or vehicles cost, anyways? Monocle-ish?

I don't know what's funnier; The blatant lie or the sincerity of your belief in it.

Looking at those 4 portraits really brings the issue of limited wardrobe to the limelight.

I miss the crazy Gallente options, and the weird Amarr headgear.

Anyway, unterested to see where this all goes, hope it will be something that really, really matters (like system sec status fluctuation or something).

The block definitely sucked. I mean linking twitter, forums can anyone you dont need devblog for that. If you write devblog put some effort to it tons of people read it and it shows if you care.

Second thing. Minmatars have like one event and amarrians two? The rest of the events is purely Caldari oriented with some gallente flavour. I mean what the hell. Sticking caldari oriented adverts on internet is one thing but focusing ingame oriented events on one race is not ok.

The dust 514 is not even worth commenting.

Does this means POS revamp!?

If not, I hope that a new game inside the game is coming! (EVE is a tool, the game is made by the players!)

Dumping info in an 'event channel' .. how very :insert generic MMO developer: of you Smile

You have a well functioning mail system and Goddess knows how many ISD alts ..
- Set up pure (read: strict) RP channels in the various regions where some high and mighty general or what have you comes in with whatever info there is.
- Send out mails to CEO's in militias and/or to general militia or have same general drop by militia channel (aka. the Cess Pools) with whatever info there is
Note: The 'live play' option will require your most hardened RP'ing reps as the cess pools are ... special places.
- Use RP blogs to 'transmit' relevant info, you have done so successfully so I know you have it in you!

See the common denominator? (hint: RP!)

Carry on.

Looking forward to the big event. And seeing those images of the 4 leaders, Roden almost looks like a Jove with that green light on his pale skin, just a few black veins here and there and it'd be perfect.

In this dark void we are like brilliant stars, holding within us both the creative and destructive power to bring a new dawn upon worlds or plunge them into eternal darkness.

I fully and officially demand more clothes! And perhaps more parts of a station to explore to plot my demise of Caldari scum. After all, with the Broker gone, I think Tibus is reduced to half the man he was... which is exactly the man he is now. Bullies won't be tolerated, there's good people down there. RABBLE! RIOT!
