I see no "problem". At all.

24 hours is just the right amount of time a corp needs to be properly notified about something important. If you make it any shorter you open it up to TZ griefing and unnecessary strangeness. Plus you need to give some time to move their assets if necessary because wardecs are supposed to be training wheels, not meant to be as cold and harsh as everywhere else.

Case 1. People use game mechanics to avoid war. Result: You cannot shoot them.

Case 2. You get the game mechanics changed to no one can avoid war. Result: They leave Eve and you cannot shoot them.
Fact is people will adapt to the new normal, just like they have every other time something was changed, not just quit. I'm sure all of the titan pilots have quit the game since the big tracking nerf. And all of the pilots in the drone regions who lost their ability to gun mine. And the entire incursion scene.

no no no NO.

*logs on alt fits a t2 cargo scanner, scans a freighter that is autopiloting.......ohh shiny plex in cargobay and deadpsace modules...transfers isk to main............... logs on main declares war on the freighter off the gate..........solo blap it with my vindi*

k thanks buh bye.

everyone would crowd into highsec to do this, and indy pilots would disappear from highsec. this could potentially kill the market, with this sort of mechanic no one would be moving items around, no one would be moving plex around, no ships, no nothing.

You guys should start moving good ideas only; why bring this drivel to F&I when we already have more than enough?

Make it idiot-proof and someone will make a better idiot.

1) spots freighter on gate
2) scans freighter
3) freighter full of multibillion goo\assets
4) declare war
5) pop freighter
6) drop war
7) scoop loots and hide until war has passed
8) roll around in isk

Even I think that's a bad idea

9) someone sees you scooping the precious loot
10) declares war
11) pops the scooper
12) drops the war
13) scoops the loot (or whats left of it)
14) go back to section 9 and repeat this until the loot is gone

so no
