Yes Ineedy. I've noticed that the amount of bad posting and pointless threads is seriously out of control at the moment along with a lack of good content on the forum.
How about ISD's instead of just running round after trolls, why not start gagging people for 24 hrs, 72hr and a month if they repeatedly start pointless threads or make terrible unconstructive posts ?

So how about it ? and please do start with Clara Stewart. It's got to beat running round simply locking threads

I'm pretty sure that's how they do things. They won't confirm it, but if it's anything like how they handle exploits, it goes something like this:

- Warning
- Short ban
- Long ban
- Permanent ban

and they can skip steps if they want.

Good evening. Allow me to clear up some misconceptions about how CCL handles things in regards to the forums. First and foremost, we don't have the ability to disallow someone from posting. Nor can we ban people. Those are not things we do. That being said though, we do have the ability to lock threads like those that have popped up recently and try and keep the forums as clean as possible. However, as some of you might have noticed, we have newly done forum rules and policies courtesy of CCP Falcon. This includes a reprimand policy, which clearly lays out the rules for transgressions done. As stated in that policy, if the transgression is severe enough, this policy may be bypassed completely in favor of permanent revocation of a forum user’s posting privileges. I hope this helps explain how things are done. We don't like locking threads and will prefer to clean them up instead, but if the situation calls for it, we will lock it.

As for better content, all posts are user generated, so if you wish to see more good posts, start a good discussion and see where it goes. The results may surprise you!
