Anyone else been experiencing tranquility server disconnects today?

I've been just sitting in station doing some PI, research jobs, buying some things from the market, refitting some ships and organizing a few things for the past few hours but I've been getting an unusually high amount of disconnections after the game client stops responding.

So far in the past hour i've been disconnected perhaps five times on multiple accounts in the middle of doing hangar based activities which is unusual for me.

I'm from central Canada with 100MBit cable internet service and a 1GBit internal home network that never disconnects from the internet i'm more curious if there is a problem with the servers and starting a discussion about it so the server team can look into it and fix the problem.

Legitimately most people would wonder if it was a problem on my end but I'm sure it's not my internet connection because i've been watching Daopa's livestream on twitch.tv while my eve client burped and kicked me out of the game What?

i'm also a trained and certified computer network engineer with 15 years experience so keeping my own computer systems in good working order is definitely something I look after diligently so i don't believe there's any problems on my end and the Tranquility server was working fine 12 hours ago.

This ones for you CCP guys :)

I have been on most of the day with no issues. Sounds like your ISP. Since you are a certified computer engineer do a traceroute.

Just for the sake of trying sure why not. I even used a Linux server. Ping traceroutes often aren't accurate but if above.net is ccps connection to the internet the router at the 9th hop is either possibly dropping packets or having some problems.

My isp's border routing to them is apparently working fine.

It should be made clear also I can connect to the eve servers but after a few minutes of light "activity" i was disconnected several times. It's perhaps been 30 minutes since i last tried to login.

When you cant change an armor hardener or a ship rig without being disconnected something is obviously not working properly

I checked and it doesn't appear to be entirely similar to what CCP Vertex described because there's no crash dump files in my eve client folder. I'll try running the logserver and see if i can get some debug logs generated to possibly reveal the problem.

My own desktop gaming system is fairly high end or at least of a caliber of hardware most gamers wouldn't or have installed in home computers.

We have had a small number of reports of client lockup/freezes and sometimes crashes. We have started to investigate these reports but we need more information to narrow down a reproduction case.

If you have experienced a client lockup/crash since Retribution 1.1 then please file a bug report here or via the in-game bug reporting tool then reply to this thread to let me know you have done so.

What information do we need in the bug report?

Please attach:

  • Screenshot your clients graphic settings
  • When your client crashes it should generate a .dmp file located C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Local\CCP\EVE more info here
  • Logserver report from when the freeze/crash occurred more info here

YES.

Lead a roam today and had frequent DC's from fleet members, I had none. More then the last 5 years combined, not kidding. Lost 1/3 of the fleet in one incident.

Had a lot of other instability issues, Black screen jumping into a system, Eve voice kicking me out of fleet coms, ton of lag jumping out of system. Loading systems was fine, use a SSD, jumping out of systems was frequently a 5-10 second affair.

Anyway, yes, I saw the same issues you did.

I've detected the problem remotely, your ego is spilling out and hitting the quit game buttons.

Seriously, who the hell cares if you've been a network engineer for the last 15 years, founded Cisco, Microsoft, Google and go drinking with Tim Berners-Lee
Nor do we care that your desktop PC has the computing power to run wall-street

All you needed to put is.

The solution's all i the details sweetheart.

Sometimes i love being an IT business systems analyst. Comments like this always tempted me to quit my job and be a therapist ;)

Regardless whatever seems to have caused the problem hasn't happened again in the last couple hours. Could have just been bad weather on the internet. Yes such things Exist

Many ppl in fleet i was get DC all day long sometimes seldom sometime mass DC i think it haz something to do with memory leak of single client ie if i run 4 at the time 3 are ok but one that shows 2gb memory usage get drop'd/freeze.

You choke behind a smile a fake behind the fear

So just when i had assumed things had stabilized I opened a second client, started doing some blueprint research and my second client got disconnected.

shortly after buying some datacores from the market then looking up the material requirements for an invention job at a public station.

The socket was closed

Infrequent, but yes, there have been a few lately.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

I wonder what the PCU was like for today. I'm going to have to go check now.

Edit:http://eve-offline.net/?server=tranquility

Would disconnects of that volume be visible? I'd have thought so. But then, if the polling interval is 5m you might get a reconnect before that happens. Hmmm.

Sorry, nothing useful to add.

My sparsely-populated system of 3 people has been suffering 60-80% TiDi all afternoon. The game has crashed a few times whenever I look at the galactic map. Seems like Eve is getting all funky.

I've been having disco issues all day. Normally very stable, maybe one disco every month or two. At least a dozen discos today.

CCP hasn't been on their "A" game wrt server performance since Retribution came out.

Tears will be shed and pants will need to be changed all round.
