I have noticed that when i was duel boxing RR domies in c3-c4 land it seemed to draw agro away away from sentries. A sentry myrm might be worth trying only just rr your drones to keep the damage on the myrm

My 2 cents

They are. Solo on the other hand drones are useless. But still there is a much higher SP requirement for a Domi drone boat and it requires 2 pilots when a Drake capable of soloing a C2 doesn't take much training at all. It just has a much lower bar. While I'm not one to tell some "don't do that", I'm more than willing to tell them "You should try this instead" when I've gone down that exact road only to realize everyone telling me the exact same thing back then was right on.

Don't ban me, bro!

Rail DPS is a joke. Oh on EFT the DPS is "ok" but, the reality of tracking issues makes that DPS much less. Anyone advising you that hybrids in w-space work well......well I question their experience level.

Let me tell you a tale, que the Brady Bunch theme:

This is a story.
About 2 friends.
Who were sparring their myrm and their drake.
One of them had 4mil sp in hybrids
The other 1.5mil sp in missiles
It was a sure thing!

Mr. Kidd's friend
Flying the drake
Out DPS'd his myrm and broke his tank
Mr. Kidd couldn't figure it out
For all his skills
He finally concluded hybrids suck!

The point is not only do hybrids suck. But the difference in SP requirements is so lopsided for a subpar weapons system (hybrids) versus an adequate weapons system (missiles), it just adds insult to injury.

I still use hybrids, but not for PVE. I have a lot of SP invested in gunnery skills to the tune of 9mil sp. I'm a very highly skilled hybrid pilot with only limited projectile skilling. Had I to do it over again, it would be the other way around.

you and your drake are a disgrace for the gallente federation.

I used to fly a Drake solo for C2's. And I never used drones. It performed wonderfully, especially after I 'tuned' it just right. I sacrificed a lot of passive shield tank for DPS where I would have the shield alarm going off (set at 25%) just as the last BS died. I can thoroughly recommend them.

I also have to side with Mr Kidd on the Hybrids (assuming he's not trolling). I have a Gallente toon whom I trained up in Hybrid weapons. He's now been taken off the Sleeper grid and assigned the role of an off-grid boosters. I will train him up in missiles when he's finished his current skill-set. It's important to remember that Sleepers use MWD, so tracking becomes a problem with hybrids/blasters.

BUT... I haven't flown a Drake in a long time and probably will never fly one again. My point here is I don't know how effective it is since it's been re-balanced. More DPS, but less tank. Not sure if it is resilient enough now. I really don't know.

My advice.... Tengu. I really do have the T3 bug, even though I was out-right against them for ages.

Can't afford/don't want to shell out on a Tengu? I also used a Nighthawk, which I highly recommend. That command ship is a beautiful machine!
