Tick tok, will our POS finally rock?

We're left with 2 days in this month. Pirate
I can't wait, even burning from anticipation for CCP's new approach towards expansions (themes).

Will CCP bite the bullet and finally start working on POS or will it go the way of 'the Dodo' like 'WiS & Ambulation'?

From the Mega Thread » "POSes: I am a small portion of the community."

The potential for player created and owned structures in EVE is great. But just like both me and CCP Unifex talked about in our recent devblogs, and in the summit sessions, we need to work out how we can realize each piece of that, using our new processes. One expansion worth of work won't be able to address all the problems with the current system, while also giving us all the new possibilities. While we weren't ready to commit to implementing the prototype we have at the moment, we are not abandoning either starbases or their potential.

You will see the first results of our new way of planning expansions towards the end of February, and you can follow the process through the CSM participation and also some updates I'll be giving. I can't and won't promise that specific features or fixes will be part of the summer expansion until we have gone through our pre-production phase.

I could use another devblog, bored at work atm and nothing interesting enough to troll happening on forums.

My expectations are low. This is CCP after all.

Sadly I don't expect them to ever bite the bullet on PoS'es now. I'd love to be proved wrong and to actually be interested in owning a PoS as a result. But they seem to have put it in the 'Working to provide moon goo ok, and too hard to change to fix the other issues' basket.

I predict they scrap POS all together, move the Moon Mining as something to do with Planetary Interaction and Dust.

And then let us put actual station/outposts at moons as well as planets!

How do you see bpc/bpo research done then, not to mention SubCap ship manufacturing w/o a POS?

Also almost one week into March now and it's so silent on this topic from CCP, I start to fear with the above posters, we're not going to see any POS changes at all. What?

Took a bit to pick up my own thread but I kept hoping to witness the promised by CCP Seagull "first results" by now.
Damn, after 5 years I still haven't learned soon™. /o\

Sounds like it's in the planning stage. Lets see over 4 years talking about it. Now they're "planning". We should see execution by the end of the decade.

They are always holding up informations about developement before fanfest. Thats just the way it is.

Btw I'm also curious what they want to do next about it. All the buzz around possible pos and industry (ui) overhaul gave me really high hopes. I spend too much unnecessary time managing my pos and my ingame business and the fact that they pushed the project further turned me into a bittervet who is barely logging in. I really hope fanfest will give me back the enthusiasm to actually play the game Cool

I believe that roll-out is scheduled for 2019, but you know how these things go.....
