I've trained an alt with perfect Leadership skills and am using a fit which allows 5 links to be used at the same time to support my main in PVE. I've got the 3 Shield links fitted and can see in Fleet that the booster is allocated correctly and is active, but when checking my BS stats in the game fit screen, the Shield HP don't display as being increased as expected. Why is this?

The booster is in the same system.

Not sure it happens while you are docked...

Try it in space, hover your mouse over the shield bar with an without the links active do the number of hitpoints change?

Better than spending billions on an officer fit though

OP I believe you need 2 people + the booster in space to get the boosts though I may be wrong about this

No, Booster just has to be in Squad/Wing/Fleet Commander Position and in space. And the Links have to be active, ofc. Else all the solo 2012/13 style PvPers would have had to create another char to put in fleet :P

Booster in squad command position. Mission runner in squad. Both in space, both in the same system.

Putting the booster in wing command with only one other guy in fleet wont work.

Back when I was running L4s, I'd have expected a 2-3 billion ISK fit to net me 80-100M ISK/hr (in high sec). A regular T2 fit on a T1 BS wasn't getting anywhere near that, topping out at maybe 40M ISK/hr. So is dropping 2 billion ISK now and doubling my income a good choice? Yeah, probably.

But, the question should be: why the hell do people run L4 missions in the first place... there are so many better choices.

A 50 million ISK fit runs level 4s in FW for 200 mil an hour without even trying, and has done so for the last 4 years.

You only get shield HP from the Siege Warfare skill and the mindlink, you don't get any shield from the links.

Your booster must be in squad cmd position with the squad booster role and you must be a squad member in that squad. You must both be undocked in the same system and uncloaked.

This was my mistake. I didn't realise (through inexperience) that the Squad Leader automatically is assigned as the booster and he must relinquish before boosting alt can be so assigned.

All is now good.

When you have perfect support, space command and weapon skills then yes. Until then, faction offers a similar level of performance while skills train. Now my support skills are almost maxed, I've no need for the 17 CN CM Launchers across my BSs, so I've sold them all and replaced with T2.

My understanding is that the Seige Warfare skill offers 10% bonus, the Seige Mindlink replaces it with a 15% bonus. Correct?
