Path of Exile MMO ... thoughts?

I have been fervently playing this little beta game online and been quite frankly ... impressed (for a beta game).

It´s simple, veers away from "cartoony" or "modern looking" genres like D3 and Torchlight , focusing on "classic" gritty and dark ambients, and the skilltree is such a delicious visual cookie that has made me follow lines all day long to see possible combos and insane (not necesarily efficient) builds of sheer joy and madness.

I mean, really, tell me you don´t find THIS SKILLTREE enticing? Big smile

Game is still in beta but very playable. Premise is simple, go forth and destroy. Getting the same vibe out of it as I did with MU Online back in the day. Endless mindless grind that relaxes you. Also the Isometric view is something I welcome, plus the HARDCORE setting and the level of difficulty in certain mobs seem a reminiscence of the good old hack n slash games of the beginnings of the 21st century.

As a personal bias, it´s also NOT a Blizzard Game which gives it a ton of points already.

Looks like the Diablo 3 I had been waiting for...and yes it is huge plus that it isnt from blizzard.
