Does anyone really play Eve with just 1 character and no alts.

I'm kind of the same stick in the mud, I joined a corp to work together as a team, I am carrier ready and corpies have asked me to light cynos so I also will ask the same of them, the day there's no one available to help out will be the day I move on. I am currently approaching 40m sp and yes it's been a pain in the arris getting him to skill up so many different things, the sense of achievement when you get there is so much sweeter....I can't be doing with alts and the only reason I forsee needing one is to skill up to fly a cloaky hauler and be a cyno biatch...

I used to have two accounts, but never really used the alt for anything. So to answer your question, yes. I do only have one active account and only use one character. I don't need alts to do various other tasks like mining and industry because I don't do those tasks at all.

I do.... Just have the one character. Live in Null. Not saying at some point I may not have an alt...... But, as it stands this minute. yes... Yes I do.

1 account, 1 toon.

For some reason I've got it stuck in my head that using alts is cheating. I guess using different toons is fine since it's commonplace in many other MMO's, but alt accounts just seem downright damaging to the game.

This is my only char and only account. This is my own corp, I play totally alone and talk to no one from one day to the next.
Boring? sometimes. Want to change it? Not really.

I've only recently made a second character with a minimum set of probe skills so I can probe down the exits to my WH in the event I get trapped outside.

I can't imagine playing more than one account. It sounds like an awfully lot of trouble.

I'm down to one account from two, one character for EVE and this one for EVE-O Forums. Although I'll probably roll a hauler/market alt using dual-training once Odyssey hits.

CCP has no sense of humour.

Running more than one account is too much like work and overkill for me. Cyno alts are nice but if you're a patient dude a friend will always take a few bucks to get ya where you're going.

Gotta laugh at the people who think you need more than one account to play outside of high sec. 4 years and counting here homos.

I know of at least three members of CAIN who have played for years and only have one account, I think the most they have alt wise is cyno characters in the slots.

Very noble, I am sure if you ever fly a capital ship you will enjoy spending hours asking for someone else to light you a cyno so you can move it from the system it is currently in.

Seeing as I am one of the Princes of the Universe (Queen did a song about us it is p.good) I have many Space Peons to light my cynos so I do not need to wait and ask I merely command it.

I have 2 alts on this account, but I never use them. One sits in a wormhole somewhere and the other is a character I let my girlfriend make to get her interested in EVE.
Did work pretty well, too until the part where the character creation was finished.

not true (tho some might)and some need alts to go low /null ^. i have always played with just the one account i dont live in high or plan on quiitting or giving my isk'es away

i guess it up to the player but yes there are players who only have the one account

Been playing since 2009 with one account. I do have another toon on that account, but that's it for me. I don't know why folks would want to pay for EVE 2x or more /month or /year. I am very happy with my one toon and the help I need I get from corp members. The purpose of a corp and alliance is to help eachother out. If you have to buy 5 accounts to move your stuff around, you're either one impatient person or you play with other EVE players who don't get the point of an MMO.

I have never understood the point of one-man corporations staffed with a single player's accounts. What a waste of MMO and it might as well change genre to MSO (Massive Single-Player Online) instead of MMO. The best part of this game is the multiplayer aspect of it. Alts are a thing of convenience (or necessity if you can't find folks to play with) for those who like to pay CCP lots of money or spend countless hours in the game trading/mining etc...

Either way, that's not for me. I like the MMO in MMO.

1 Account. 1 Character here. I don't plan to be mass manipulating markets, requiring my own hauler 24/7 or needing anything that requires a cyno alt. Been playing for just over 6 months and having a fun time thanks.

Tried making an alt but couldn't justify the extra plex cost.

I do on the other hand intend to make two specialized alts when we get dual training, one for hauling and one for cheap pvp.

I made an alt but don't play it, and i hardly belive i will ever play it... i would maybe if i could play with all characters in the same client at the same time
