Does anyone really play Eve with just 1 character and no alts.

Well I started mining, and that meant one to mine one to haul.
Then I trained for Orca, and discovered the ruddy Orca doesn't mine, so I decided to use the power of two to quickly skill up an hulk pilot.
They I discoved that two miners and an Orca makes more ink in an hour than anything I could have dreamt of (for me). So I'm now hooked on crack altism - damn you CCP.
So I'm running three account, but they all do something different, so I wouldn't say I run three alts - I have three account, and three characters that all completely different.
Mostly I load the account and play depending on what I want to do; if it's mining then I'll run all three, but otherwise just the one.

Its certainly easier playing with an alt.

I did sub an alt account for a while, but stopped as plex price got to high.

After having as many as 9 concurrent accounts at one point, going back to 1 is refreshingly straightforward. I much prefer it.

All I know is that I reserve this account for forum trolling.

I have two "backup" characters on this account, one with a frighter for moving **** during war and one with a mission ship for earning isk if I get locked down somewhere. They don't get used all that often.

I do have another account, but it hasnt been subbed for two years, because I barely used it.

If I had a capital ship I'd probably roll a cyno alt on a seperate account, thats really the only thing that would compel me to multibox.

This character is my only real character. I have two others for non-important stuff and could biomass them and it wouldn't matter.

I probably will wind up using my other character slots for something, however I'm not willing to divert training time on this account to another character at the moment. Once my skills are more completed then I might consider training up an alt for something.

I used to, but it got to the point where I needed a research alt. Then I decided to train them to manufacture as well. And do mining and PI and fleet boosting and missioning.
And now I'm needing more slots for things, and trade-hub alts.

I certainly can't afford more accounts at the moment, though. I COULD plex them, but that would take ISK out of my system that I could invest in things.

I have A LOT of alts let's just say combined on my chars I have passed the 1 billion skillpoints a loooong time ago.

Not saying it's impossible to play with one account but I want to be able to do EVERYTHING in eve and then one account is just not cutting it. Also I enjoy the journey of building up a new char, talking to new people, getting to know them, perhaps joining thier corp/alliance. See how they do things and learn from it.

I consider eve my main hobby and i spend more than 20 hours on it weekly so I would'nt be without my army of alts.

I have owned 2 accounts previously, but only 1 is active atm since i came back after a long long break.

So yes people do play with 1 character as i do.
