I feel like my skills are quite a mess

Hey guys,

Since I've decided to train for Interdictors/Hictors in the medium/long term timeframe, I was wondering what skills I should bring up to par before diving in. I would still like to be able to affective lot participate in roams and such with my corp while I wait for the T2 training to complete, so weapon, drone, and defense skills are getting my attention. I plan on training Amarr and Gallente, so Hybrids and Lasers up to the T2 Mediums. What do you all advise I start with? I wasn't really sure this evening so I threw Drones 5 in the que for good measure. I just feel like I'm kind of all over the place and would like to iron myself out before hitting the books for Interdictors and Hictors.

You ARE kind of all over the place, BUT:

At this point in your training, you should be all over the place.
The common approach is to get the skills you need, and train them to level 3 or 4. There are a lot of skills and it just takes time.

Early in my career, I made a point to train 1 level V each month. Then I would crank out some 3's and 4's for awhile. Then another level V, and so on each month.
At one point I would pick 1 ship, and focus on it for months to make it perfect.
These days, I more or less stick to a category for a month or 2 (drones for instance) then I move on.
You could use any of these strategies, or some variation of them all.

As for where to start? Drones is a great place. Helps all races.
IMO you can never go wrong with ships or guns skills.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try and pick one ship/ship class I want to perfect. The hardest part for me is picking which one exactly Lol

I do like the idea of training one skill to V each month though, I can see how it'd keep you moving forward with your desired path. I think for the next few months I'll focus on honing my gunnery skills, round out my shield and armour skills, and invest some time into drones. Thanks for the help!
