Why wouldn't people show up to the award? They can say something like "It's an honor receiving this award, and before you start smirking just remember I make more in 6 months than you'll see in your entire life" P

I could live with his entire filmography being deleted, except for "Punch Drunk Love".

I've gotta give him that one.

Happy Gilmore was great. Everything else has been awful.

I remember when Eddie Murphy was finally nominated for acting in "Dreamgirls"........but his chances were shot in the foot with the intervening release of Razzie Winner "Norbit".

Again, don't miss "Punch Drunk Love". For some reason it didn't get a wide release, especially for the director of "Boogie Nights" and "Magnolia".

edit: I think the studio was afraid because Sandler is actually quite scary at times in it.

The one from the lasagna, I hope this too.

I'd like to apologize for the poor quality of the post above and sincerely hope you didn't waste your time reading it. Yes, I do feel bad about it.

Do you like it because you think it's a cinematic masterpiece or because it gives you personal satisfaction? The second reason is OK, the first isn't.

Some few do - Usually only those folks with a rock-solid self-image, like Paul Verhoeven or Brian Helgeland. Bill Cosby actually turned the tables on the Razzies and made them actually take the whole thing semi-seriously.

de gustibus non disputandum and all that rot, but... Shocked

I personally can't see why he still gets roles or is taken even remotely seriously by Hollywood - He produces stinker after stinker after stinker...and still, some sucker can be found to bankroll his crapalicious flics.

Tell someone you love them today, because life is short. But scream it at them in Esperanto, because life is also terrifying and confusing.

You guys didn't like "The Water Boy"? OK, actually Sandler wasn't that great in that one either. But Kathy Bates was excellent as the swamp mom. Whoever wrote her part knew something about real rural Southern moms.

...let's go ahead and grant equivalency to Eddie Murphy on this point as well.

Now that is one brave actress.

Her naked mud dance in "At Play in the Fields of the Lord" (Hector Babenco) is something to behold. Brave again, but what is seen can never be unseen.

Still wasn't enough to redeem the flic. After all, it had Adam Sandler in it.

When I was younger I thought Adam Sandler was hilarious. Now I look back and consider my younger self a complete ******.

Since the cessation of their usefulness is imminent, may I appropriate your belongings?
